    I dont think its that "silly" benching Cameron for Kapler. How many consecutive days of typical backup outfielder play would bring Kaplers numbers down to where Camerons were at a similar amount of plate appearances? I would have taken Kapler over Jenkins and Mench last year too.

    20-7?, I agree! @ Atlanta (3) 2-1 @ Cincinnati (3) 2-1 Washington (4) 4-0 @ San Diego (3) 2-1 @ Los Angeles (3) 2-1 Houston (3) 2-1 Pittsburgh (3) 3-0 @ St. Louis (2) 1-1 @ Pittsburgh (3) 2-1 But the Cubs will go 19-8.

    Its easy to be a mis-informed Cub fan regarding Kendall's defense. WSCR "Baseball Expert" Steve Stone said on the air that Kendall cant throw anybody out this year, and is showing why the Cubs got rid of him.

    Didnt look inside to me. If Ricky didnt stand on top of the plate, pitches on the inside corner wouldnt fool him so often.

    Ned is giving struggling Corey Hart a couple of days off. Wow. Corey Hart. No one else on this team is struggling i guess.

    what I see and hear, Rickie's a very nice guy who works hard I wish I could find the article, but I do recall reading a quote from some story where Ricky made a comment about his improved defense. He attributed it to going back to what works for him(Im paraphrasing) and not being so "robotic" in his defense. To me that means he's not coachable. That came across as a "forget the fundementals" statement.

    Maybe Im giving Braun too much "good guy" credit......but the way I see it .....He hit it so hard and high that he knew it was either a homerun or a long (high) fly ball out. Theres a chance that JJ on first was tagging up incase its a long fly ball out (not going half way) so that he could get into scoring position with 2 outs. No sense in Braun sprinting to first base in that instance (and getting tangled up with the baserunner who might be coming back to the bag). It just didnt look like a "in your face" celebration.

    Thats the 3rd time brian has said that the Cardinals won by 1 run yesterday. They won 9-5.

    The Oriole's Adam Loewen has quit pitching due to his second elbow injury in two years. He is going to become an outfielder. Apparently, he is out of options so the Orioles are unsure how they can send him down and still keep him. Interesting stuff.....He was a good hitter in college (according to the article on the Oriole's web stite). Wonder what his prospect status will be. Im rooting for him and Rocco Baldelli to make it back to the bigs.

    "Bill reminds me of a video game announcer. It seems like he has 10 phrases that he just repeats over and over again. " 1. "That was a good piece of hitting". 2. "Did you see how he squared his shoulders and blocked that ball?" I havent heard him say "cat like reactions" lately. Hes dropped that one. It also bothers me that he says "Brwrs" and "decizons" instead of Brewers and decisions.

    Tuesday wasnt part of either of my 2 20 game packs. I bought 2 section 118 tickets on ebay. Apparently, its was a ticket broker and they did a nifty transaction that transferred them from their account to mine with the Brewers. Pretty cool.

    I would like to see where each player was drafted ....listed with the power 50 info. Once Im past the top 15 or so prospects, its not obvious where these guys came from.

    Brauns ROY season and his start this year make me wonder................... Dont you think the Brewers win 2 more games if hes in the majors out of spring training last year? I do. I really do.

    I cant stand the "run on contact" play with runners on first and third and nobody out. (No way does Hart get thrown out on a double play attempt) AND, I cant stand the 2008 vent threat being on PAGE 2! (so I had to post!)

    If they make Badenhop 0-2 7.20 look like Jake Peavy, I'll puke. Even if they make him look like Nelson Figueroa. Tonight is close to what youd call a "must win".
