  1. Per Brewers website.... allowing factory-sealed water, pop and juice in stadium... one per person. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/ballpark/security
  2. It’s more than just paper to online.... it’s the deals that are directly associated with it. No news about group ticket cheaper rates, BP tickets, OTBA tickets, Uecker seats, etc. These deals affect how many games I and thousands of others attend. Wait and see, I guess. But I’ll be waiting at home instead of shivering in AmFam in April.
  3. Like originally said in first post, I can understand or even agree on some change. This year is by far the most costly change with tickets in 20 years, and I don’t see the wisdom of doing all this to the fan during a pandemic.
  4. New to me and many....Rarely paid any transaction fee. Most of my purchases were made at the box office. There are a host of other questions with no paper tickets. A few include the popular BP and Oldtime Ballplayers promotion... do those go away too? Both offered paper coupons for tickets. How about Uecker ($1) tickets and the Arctic Tailgate? Giving group tickets (when that becomes a thing again) out becomes much more of a headache for me. Naive thinking if you think these things, among others, are not an issue with thousands of Brewers fans. The Brewers are messing with fans habits of buying tickets that go back 20 years at Miller Park. Just way too many changes in ticket policy to expect the good ol fan to adjust. People will simply stay home more, me included. And that extra “$2 non game transaction fee” for my preferred parking pass just gets more and more irritating. Habits need to change. That simple. If you don’t like it, don’t go to the games. The Brewers were behind the times and are using the Covid-19 situation to catch up. I’m sure you’ll figure it out. If you want to. You must work for the team because your opinion seems to match theirs..... “Pay more fees, buy food in the ballpark, expect more expensive tickets, and get over your paper tickets or stay home. We’re in a pandemic and you better not complain because we lost a lot of money.”

  6. Paying fees for EVERY purchase now.... great. A purchase of $32 gets you a $6 “2021 ticket fee” and a $2 “per order fee”.
  7. Just as in the olden days of 2019 one would get out their prepaid parking pass or cash, so its ready to go when they get to the front of the line, now in 2021 one will pull up their parking pass on their phone, so its ready to go once they get to the front of the line. Glad it will be that easy.... only 12,000 fans will help.
  8. And is parking cashless too? If you thought getting in the park on busy nights took long before, can’t wait to have people take time getting parking pass up on their phones.
  9. Off the top of my head, a lot more people are going to have to get the app. Transferring tickets is not always a cake walk even with the app. Transferring group tickets among elderly people seems like a headache, no?
  10. We all know that tailgating is just a temporary loss. That will be back soon enough. The other changes.... well, they are probably here to stay. I am fine with the no cash thing. I would imagine most pay with the card anyway. I understand the carry-in thing; most stadiums and arenas have this already. Yet, it's another reason to keep fans home on a weeknight. What I am very wary of is the online tickets. Problems with the app, especially the MLB Ballpark App have been numerous. I cannot get my head around all of the potential problems with this. It's a new day, for sure. And the Brewers are moving forward with plans wanted for a long time, I imagine.
  11. No, a scholarship player would still be on scholarship. The only one left to make a statement though is Anderson, so won’t be much to sort out. If all the seniors came back for a year, then what? We can't have 18 scholarship players out there, right? Who's paying for the scholarship?
  12. If seniors come back and play next year, is it on their own dime? If forced to pay to play, I can see why the Badgers seniors are probably gone. Scholarships can’t cover them all, right? There are freshmen coming in. No information on this?
  13. Seniors may return next year, yes. We have heard it a bunch. What I haven’t heard is ALL of the answers to the other questions..... do they get a year scholarship, as well, or is it out of pocket? If they choose to return, does the coach have to have them? Are incoming scholarship freshmen assured of roster spots? How many roster spots are there in 21-22? How many will be permitted on scholarship? What will red shirting look like, and what will be the real reasoning? This is concerns just off the top of my head for two minutes. It surely will be a complicated mess.
  14. Yelich at 3 over 2 Number of ABs over a season almost meaningless Having two OBP guys ahead of him gives him more of a chance of an RBI and pitcher more prone to making a mistake pitch to him If there are 2 outs and they pitch around him, then a runner is on with a good RBI guy (#4 hitter) at the plate With 2 outs and he steals a base, then RISP with #4hitter up Brewers #3 or #4 guy is probably going to be Hiura depending where Yelich hits No matter what, it's a great option for CC to have. Almost meaningless is still meaningful. It’s 20 at bats a season or 5 games of hitting. And we have all lived thru 2018 when one little game mattered. I see Yelich as a run scorer too with his BB rate and speed. As he ages, I see him more as a 3. For me, I liked Braun as 2 early in his career too when he could swipe 30 at bats with the ability to score from 1st on a gapper. Yelich feels the same. Agreed that Cc has pretty great options.
  15. Yelich at 2 over 3 A few more at bats every season Hate having best batter up with no one on and 2 outs... easy to pitch around him in the 1st. Gives him a better shot and more options to run in the 1st. Fairly good pinch hitter options at 9 (pitcher) gives him nice RBI opportunities in late innings.
  16. Cain= Fred Sanford
  17. Wong and Bradley are considerably better than the general awfulness that they accrued last offseason. Notwithstanding, Just having Yelich hit, dare I say .270 with .370 obp and power, we will be so much better on offense.
  18. Was told by Brewers ticket rep. that there are no group tickets until full capacity is set. Ugh...
  19. Explain the tailgating thing.... People who will be sitting by each other in the park cannot eat and drink with each other outside the park? And did I mention outside? The parking lot is plenty large enough to allow spacing of vehicles.
  20. Most teams have more, make more, and spend more. That hasn't changed. Still, that does not prevent the Brewers to do deals like this.
  21. Still think putting Yelich back to RF would be a reasonable thing since he was so good at the plate both years in RF for the Brewers. If he struggles in April, I would be quick to move him back.
  22. With nearly zero fans in the stands, for the record. In the end, you can certainly state your opinion on whether it's necessary or not. But again, unless there's actual data to suggest that it does 'little to nothing', or that the benefit is "infinitesimally small" is merely opinion, not fact. And this is your opinion, as well. How about some everyday general facts? Basketball was and is played all around the country inside with small crowds with few setbacks. School is happening in most areas, in person and inside, with safety precautions. It has been universally going well. COVID numbers are going down almost across the board. Millions are getting the vaccine as we speak, as well. I’m not sure what study one needs for this unique time in history. Our experts can’t grab stats from past years on this or quick do tests to replicate all the variables for all these baseball stadiums in each region. I agree that caution needs to happen first, from small crowds to larger, from mainly outside to more inside. See how it goes. Making Oldschool the heavy or naive because he doesn’t have all the facts on the topic is an unfair comment to make. Enough similar, observable sports situations have occurred in the last few months for one to make logical sense.
  23. Everybody always says this...and everybody said this about Kobe King for 2+ years...then when King left the team won 8 in row. I love Davis and he is already a much much better player than King at almost every facet of the game, I'm just saying that the ability to create one-on-one shots is over-rated. I think the main problem is exactly the opposite. There isn't enough man movement and ball movement to make defenses work. Everything is a high pick and roll or a post feed to Potter. The ability to get other people open is not overrated, and it is an issue on the team. They also struggle getting points from the block. Potter and Reuters both seemed better down under last year.
  24. Picking up Braun at midsession seems possible. He’s been sitting half the time anyway up til then in the past few seasons. If they are in it, sure, why not? It’s not probable, just possible. Both sides might be motivated to do it.
  25. A real mess with TV.... a real mess with tickets. Also, do we even know the rules this year (DH, extra innings, RP 3 batter min.)? It has been the weirdest and quietest offseason in my lifetime. The ticket people know nothing. Attanasio and Schlesinger say little. No idea if I can get individual game tickets or even SEE a game on TV. Like so much else with COVID, unforeseeable. Wait and see, I guess.
