  1. After he blew up that game this season, I am a little surprised Guerra is here. Glad he has another shot.
  2. The Brewers rebuild, rebrand, and AmFam Park should coincide well with life after the players strike in 2021. We will likely look back at the 2017-2020 years with a twinkle in our eye because of how many games were meaningful and how well we did in the last days of Miller Park.
  3. How about all challenges come from another official group of three at the game. Do this for the entire game, and allow coaches to throw their flags in the 4th quarter too.
  4. That wasn't my point. Being at the game was the only way to simultaneously see ALL the officials and how they reacted. Also, my example of the Graham play is something likely not shiwn on TV at all. Obviously my live view of TD/ no TD can't compete with zoom ins, slow mo, multiple camera an GB les, etc. Actually, from the TV view, I thought the TD call was odd. They were obviously disagreeing and no one spoke to each other to confirm. One was spotting the ball short, one was motioning 1st down Packers, one was calling it a TD... The crazy thing is that tv still cannot tell if a ball went over a line. With all technology out there, this can't be solved? But, yeah.... the refs didn't talk and the ref with his hands up usually wins.... same as the Fail Mary game.
  5. And if we rewind a few weeks, it was pretty blatant interference on MVS at the end of the game against the Eagles. Refs giveth, refs taketh away. I am very happy with the win, too. I'd prefer they play well enough so that the outcome isn't in the refs' hands, but it's a W. Stop trying to find a way to justify taking that away. Agreed on the Eagles call. Nice point. Great win... just commenting and digesting this one like everyone else.
  6. Pumped they won the game. They made incredible plays to win! Calls went the Pack's way, though.... Very questionable calls gave us key first downs that likely, if not called, would have led to a Lions win.
  7. Went back on the hands to the face calls.... if they were reviewable, they each would have been difficult to overturn, even though I think they were legal. The angles and sight lines of seeing hands to the face or neck were not always clear...
  8. Pylon cam? 2nd frame? Ball is a little inside the one.... knee down before the goal by about 3 inches...
  9. The Lions defender had his left hand on Lazarus bicep and his left arm was all over Lazards' back. Please rewatch.... a few frames before pylon cam for the touch and pylon cam (2nd frame) for the knee before goalline and ball well before goaline. The Pack was gifted that one. The biggest calls were those phantom hands in the face (or neck) calls. If you find a link to that play, please send. And doesn't the booth review every scoring play? The booth missed it... oddly.

  11. Went back and watched it, and it looks to me that the ball is at the goal line when the knee hit, which is a TD or impossible to reverse at the very least. The pylon cam shows he was down plenty early... well before the end zone. In fact no body part was in the end zone when he his knee was down and touched.
  12. Lux would play SS for us? Just curious where he could play...
  13. Lazard wasn't even in the end zone.... knee down before the goal. Ball was just inside 1. Aren't all scores reviewed? Major miss.
  14. My guess is that the Brewers look to sign Hader to a 2 or 3 year deal to save a little arbitration projection cost, ala what they did with Fielder in years before FA. This would still give the team a year or two to either trade him or play with a long term deal before FA. I don't think they want to battle Hader each offseason in arbitration... not the most healthy relationship between team and player.
  15. I wonder, did you post this about Yelich on the Marlins too? Or is it just because you didn’t like Villar.... hmm. Villar walked 61 times last year which would have been 3rd on our team. Imagine if the goal wasn’t to walk anyone... whatever that means. Oh, I don't like Villar's game.... specifically his poor baserunning, complained about that for years. His defense and free swinging tendency bothered me too. He had waaaaay too long of a leash in Milwaukee. Glad he is having success, though. Yelich? Way different type of player in Miami.... happy to get him at the time... hmm. For clarification, when the Orioles are down by 5 in the 7th, most pitchers simply want the hitter to earn their base, ala no walks. That plays into a free swinger like Villar, who can hit over the plate meatball HRs and RBIs when the limelight, urgency, and need is off.
  16. Just stop catering to Cubs fans and we should be fine...
  17. Taunting and excessive stupid on field celebrations were penalized in the NFL for years until the last couple. I'm not ok with the message it sends to the youth, no I'm not. Middle school kids idolize the gestures more than the accomplishment, and we see that in all spheres of society now. Being funny stupid gets more pub and cred than anything. Wagging you're finger in someone's face before you score? Overly celebrating a turnover by running to the opposite goal post and posing for the"cameras"? Glorifying self for minor victories is so played and so overly done. It does no real service for anyone involved. I'm all for celebrating and congratulating teammates, by the way. It's just beyond stupid now.
  18. More sell outs, I guess.
  19. I like the Packers and all, but the following has bugged me this year- - The needless and classless clowning around after a Packers score or Packer defensive TO, ala group show. It would be flagged and headline new if done in college or high school, but the NFL condones stupidity. Terrible role modeling.... - Jones waving bye bye today to the running back and the trash being talked to Prescott - Prima Dona stuff with Rogers almost weekly, mainly taking little jabs with the coach Tougher to really cheer the team with all this happening...
  20. 26 man roster..... 28 man roster in September, Must be down 15 days instead of 10... All this will cause the team to rethink their philosophy on pitching. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/mlb-announces-major-rule-changes-for-2019-and-2020/ My guess is the team invests in a starting pitcher or two (not Cołe) to shore this area. Piggy backing could be the next thing we hear of in Milwaukee. Two guys scheduled for one game instead of one.
  21. Ask CC at On Deck if Hader was facing Kendrick? Doubt it, the more I think about it.
  22. Hader through a minor fit about his salary this offseason. It will be slightly more in 2020, but still below 1 million without arbitration. This uncomfortable situation is likely going to pop up again. It will be interesting to see if this prompts a multi-year contract to buy out some free agency years, saving the team a little in the long run, or if this prompts some trade rumors.
  23. Ha! All this Villar love.... it's a little different pitching to Villar when you are usually ahead by 5 and your primary goal is to not walk anyone. How no one talks about his at bats when they technically do not matter, whether in blowout game situation or even the entire game itself with no pressures for the 100 loss team, is puzzling. He was a wreck on the bases too; nobody in the history of the franchise was worse. Easy pass. Glad he is doing well for others on a bad team.
  24. No problem with Hader facing the lefty Soto with the bases loaded..... my opinion was that he was coming out REGARDLESS of what happened with Soto. That question needs to be asked to CC. Kendrick is a righty and would have faced Lyles next, whatever the situation, imo...
