Let me explain something to you... A poor Brewers fan sells out to Cubs fans for playoff games. It is a crime against sport itself and the rest of Brewers fans. If you want to set up a pole and vote on this, please do. Landslide. You know the right answer. The Brewers, themselves, are pleading season ticket holders not to resell and have done about as much with digital tickets as they can to prevent massive amounts of tickets to get into Cubs fans hands. In other words, the team is calling you out without saying that to you directly. Bad business. They really don't trust you with inventory. You deserve credit for being a season ticket holder, though. I can't afford it; that's why I am not anymore (although I once was a 20 game Season ticket holder). Season ticket holders are great fans and are expected to be great fans. Again, I'm not telling you to not recoup money by selling......, just why not sell to Brewers fans? I'm speaking on behalf of the silent majority.
You better be going to this game. For all the crap going back and forth between us over the year, and the hissy fit, your ticket motives better be pure come playoff time. And if they weren't, then what exactly would you do? I'd love to see how some of you would react after spending $7k on the club this year and being locked out of buying playoff tickets. Can't you see that the Brewers are trying to keep reselling down by doing digital tickets day of game? Selling playoff tickets to the enemy, especially the Cubs fans? NLDS games? Really? Hide behind StubHub or your wad of cash you spent in the reg. Season, if you want. We all want a home field advantage and us poor slobs don't care about "poor" season ticket holders. Be a fan.

Just make sure you get enough $ from those Cubs fans. We all care about that.... uhhh, just go or find some passionate Brewers fans to go. Sell to them for whatever. Who cares? Keep the enemy out.
.... Are you agreeing? Not agreeing? I'm confused. Dot dot dot dot isn't a response. I've been told plenty of times to be quiet about the whole sellout Brewers fan thing. I tire of bringing it up too, to be honest. Yet, if a sellout will sell regular season seats to Cubbies for twice they are worth during a pennant run, most sellouts will sell playoff tickets for gobs more to the enemy. They'll find a way to excuse their actions and claim their loyal allegiance. IMO, of course.
Been Waiting for the Brewers to put playoff tickets on sale via lottery for the general public. I'm fairly sure that I ordered single game NLDS tickets in 2007 and 2014 already this late in the season. It might be that management is waiting on the the next few games to see if the division is a possibility..... might save them time/effort and spare confusion in putting out just tickets to WC game and not NLDS tickets. Then again, tiebreaker games for division or last WC could complicate matters too, adding another game on Monday. A couple days ago I received an offer to buy special group area seats to playoff games. No details were given on pricing, potential games, etc. I just needed to show that I had interest by way of email, and my guess is that the Brewers would eventually get the info and opportunity out to me. Has anyone heard rumblings on individual playoff tickets or a lottery system being used again?
i believe offseason 2019 will all be about landing a top starting pitcher. The Mets are the team that lines up with us the best, I believe. We could give them young pitching and a couple good bats to balance them out and put them into contention. We also can't afford keeping this whole group together, unless we want to be paying our bench players 25 million plus.
First, balance the schedule so every team plays every team in baseball each year. Division games- 56 games League games (other than division) 60 games Opposite league games 46 Brewers would play the Cubs and other division rivals 14 times a year. Brewers would play every other NL team 6 times, one series home and one away Brew would face AL teams one series each year. This would make wins and losses more comparable out of division and league. Second, keep the format the same. I like the emphasis on winning a division to get out of playing the 50/50 Wild Card game. Yet, and in the opposite direction as it stands now, the Wild Card team can never get the home field in the division or league home field advantage. The WC could have a 100 win season! Change that. Go by best record. That would take away the negative of the best team in each league possibly playing against the second best team record wise from the same division in a 5 game Division League Series. Finally, have the flexibility built into the schedule to start a round of the playoffs a day or two early if the division or league playoffs all end early. This is probably a pipe dream for various reasons, but the dead time in between baseball series (especially basketball series) is too long at times.
Well, sitting Yelich is a bit of a head scratcher. If he was hurt or aching badly, sure, sit him. Give him the two days off and get him right. Yet, he still came off the bench in the 9th so how badly did he need this off day? If it's June, ok. In Sept., so badly that he still plays? And we had an off day the next day. Plus the game was a huge game. Being down 2 or 4 with this little time left in the season- huge difference. I am fine with Brewers fans questioning this one. The ones questioning CC's every move? I have a tough time processing that. For me, I have only been upset with decisions a handful of times in his tenure. Also love that more people are being vocal about their Cub fan hatred in Miller Park and the sell outs that put them in gravy seats. For all those who love to protect their financial gain by selling to Cubs fans, I'd love to hear your selling defense if we meet the Cubs in the NLDS. The reselling $ will be ridiculous sure, but leaving another option for Cubs fans to get in the door for playoff games is a whole new animal that screams something in between of traitor and lousy fan.
Jeffress can't pitch to a batter in the 8th? If he gives up a hit and the lead, then bring in the gang. Coulda sat Jeffress Sunday and he could in essence pitch in all the Cubs games.
Two of the three players acquired in those “urgent DS trades” played tonight. What’s your point? Struggling Jennings pitching in that spot makes sense if we are not in a pennant race in September. With the game on the line, in the middle of a pennant race, with a healthy day-rested Hader (and Jeffress) on the pine, it doesn't. Stearns made urgent moves, and many of them (7 in the last month) to get us in the playoffs, we hope. Counsell's moves (not stretching out Andersen -and especially Burnes- a few more outs if he knows Hader and Jeffress are not available) seem to be not as urgent. Relying on backend struggling relievers in crunch time, not putting in a top 5 or 6 bullpen arm or even Gonzalez against a lefty, is not playoff baseball. Plus, presumably scheduling sitting days for Jeffress and Hader on Sat. likely ties us up with their usage on Sunday and the Cubs series. If either pitches Sun., will outings be limited against the Cubs? In a nut shell, it looks like DS wants every game and CC is playing with November and December in mind for some reason. Not pinch running Aguilar immediately in the 9th goes to that point too.
To see the urgency of the DS trades one day and Jennings pitching in that situation the next..... it's incomprehensible. On top of this all, Who was pitching the 9th?????
[i apologize if you are offended. Offended? No. Confused by your post? A little. Think it sounds like a two year old throwing a temper tantrum? Most definitely. Uhhh, your honor...... Apology from guy A to guy B for guy A's comment directed at no one.... Followed by the attitude and needless attack from guy B to guy A., ala Shawn Michael's chin music on Marty Jenety. Isn't irony great?
If some guys were off limits, the new lefty and Burnes have to pitch longer in that game. You cannot leave Jennings out there with no net. And Albert/Burnes to close it out? If Jeffress was available, why not the 8th?
We cannot lose games with Jennngs and Lyles on the mound in the 9th.... 5th or 6th? Sure. This one was a wake up to CC that he's got a month to play and oodles of guys to manage and/or leave on the bench. It's "And Down the Stretch They Come," time and our best guys need to be available with leads. So Hader and Jeffress pitch tomorrow, we have them for what, a game each against the Cubs?
