  1. All of these pitchers seem to be playing musical chairs.
  2. Sure, until some booster pays $100,000 for an autograph of an elite recruit.
  3. Has there been any studies done on outfield defense? I would be curious to know how many more hits are allowed from a poor right fielder versus an average one or a great one?
  4. Burnes pitched a scoreless inning but every ball was hit very hard.
  5. Nope, none at all. He's already on the 40. If he loses the "options" game I'll be very upset. We lost too many games from relief pitching last year to be screwing around with playing that game with the pen. I just hope they don't keep someone like Miley or Gallardo on the roster instead of him. Put him in low leverage situations and see how he does.
  6. Any reason Williams shouldn't make our bullpen to start the season?
  7. It is clear the system needs to change a bit. I think players in year 2-6 of their careers need to get a significant raise. Yes I know this will ultimately hurt teams like the Brewers but they could raise it 25% without a ton of damage.
  8. I would like to sign one pitcher (Cobb) before I worry about signing two. Unless we have another crazy Yelich/Cain day which was fun.
  9. The foul ball guy in the Sonny Gray jersey has to be "Swing and a Drive".
  10. They didn't play hardball with me today..... I didn't threaten to leave or anything. I just asked if there was a way to reduce my bill. Did you keep all your services the same, no changes? Yep, asked to confirm.
  11. If they go with Suter/Guerra as their 5th starter, they must have a lot of confidence in Woodruff and Burnes. I would still like an upgrade to one or more of 2nd, catcher, or RP though if we aren't spending on a SP.
  12. Attacked hitters with lots of strikes and had a nice looking curveball. He looked really really good. I do not believe he faced anyone that will project to be on the Cubs roster however.
  13. You see the good and bad with Santana in one inning.
  14. They didn't play hardball with me today..... I didn't threaten to leave or anything. I just asked if there was a way to reduce my bill.
  15. It would be pretty dumb to be doing that on their own and risk injury.
  16. My Charter bill was raised a few more bucks this month and I wasn't happy. I took 10 minutes and chatted with a Charter person online. They gave me a $30 a month discount for 12 months. I did not expect it so I would give it a try if you have Charter.
  17. Thank you for that analysis. I think that shows we need at least 7 quality starters to make it through the year.
  18. It is a message board where people go to post things like this. I swear there are quite a few posters on this board that feel they have to comment on every single thread; even if they do not like it. Hint: you do not.
  19. I would rank Grisham well ahead of Ray. After seeing the KATOH report, it is going to take a lot for the Brewers to move Grisham.
  20. Then don't post in this thread. Your posts like this and the one in the minor league thread are not needed.
  21. Archer in the NL would dominate. I am sure he would love facing pitchers versus DH's.
  22. It would make sense to move Broxton to clear up a spot on the 40 man for a pitcher.... (still would release Drake)
  23. Surplus and logjam are not the same thing.....
  24. You do realize that he was top 40 in innings pitched last season? He would have pitched the second most innings for us last season.
  25. Could as easily be Broxton as Santana.
