  1. As long as we play UW-M pitching all season, he will be amazing!
  2. Comments like this are why many on this forum do not like your posts as you are extremely condescending. In reality, no one knows anything about trade rumors and proposals more than the next guy. Yep, you can say the same thing without intentionally or unintentionally being a dbag.
  3. I would prefer a package of lower level guys that can be kept off the 40 man for a long time. I would hate to acquire all of this talent and then have it get taken in the Rule 5 draft.
  4. I don't really see how cutting the cord saves a lot of money unless you have really insane cable bills.
  5. I've seen many companies do this. Especially service oriented companies. Yeah, we have the chip machines which also really slow everything down. We weren't too happy when they said all businesses had to have chip readers a long time ago and there still is many without them. It was a pretty costly upgrade for us.
  6. The rewards cards are a sore subject for my family's business. The fees for those rewards cards are higher than regular cards. The credit card companies make it seem like they are giving you money but a lot of it is the merchants. We have flat out refused to sell customers things under $1 on credit as we would lose/not make anything. We are looking to charge more for credit this year and give a discount for cash.
  7. I can't really see the Overbay signing stopping Doug from making any moves.
  8. Ike's numbers are less than impressive....
  9. The best FA first baseman available is Morales and he would require us to give up our first round pick. Are there any rules against Seattle trading us a player for "future considerations" so we can sign Morales and they get our first rounder? Not that I am necessarily saying that is our best option but I am curious.
  10. PM'ed both of you... thank you!
  11. I was thinking of putting this in the random thoughts thread but decided to make a specific thread. (mods move it if you feel it is necessary) I have added a new part time job that involves marketing/promotions and I am looking for a salesman/sales lady to work with me on the side. Basically, this person would be all able to set their own hours and do this as side work. Their work would involve contacting businesses in Southern Wisconsin up to the Fox Valley areas. I seem to be having a hard time finding someone that is skilled in this area. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  12. Thanks for all your help!
  13. Thanks dude
  14. Normally I do not call on people to help vote but the team I am a coach for (New London Girls Basketball) is in the running for the Best Team in America. This season we went 28-0 and won our second consecutive state championship so I feel we are worthy. We are going against a much bigger school than us and receive a $1000 for our athletic program which we REALLY need. You can vote as many times as you want. It looks like 100,000 or more votes will be needed to win. http://www.highschoolsports.net/mvnc/thanks.cfm Thanks a bunch, voting ends tomorrow.
  15. Looks like we would play you first at state if we both meet... that would be interesting.
  16. Maybe they would take Yuni B and that would help with the cash situation?
  17. I can't help but think what kind of shortshop we could have gotten for $3 million... but this is a good signing regardless.
  18. Does Toronto have any decent shortstops we could expect from the Villy trade?
  19. Am I the only one that thinks Carpenter is going to drop off dramatically this year?
  20. Don't we have more strikeout pitchers now though? Isn't it all part of the strategy?
  21. Are we now clearly better than St. Louis and Cincinnati in terms of rotations now? I am a huge fan of Wainwright and am interested to see his comparison with Greinke.
  22. The real question is this: How good of a hitter is he?
  23. Remember, DM had a deal in place for Halladay last year too. He is not shy when it comes to trying to get big named pitchers.
