With the good start he's had, he only has 0.6 WAR compared to 0.5 for Wiemer.

My parents run a few businesses where they have to have a fair amount of liquidity/cash on hand for investing into new equipment etc. I have been trying to get them to get 4%+ on this money rather than accept the near zero percent they are getting from their banks right now. So far they have refused. On the other hand, they make a big deal when gas goes up a dime and that stamps are going up 2 cents. I should point out to them that how they are managing their money is costing them thousands of dollars and gas prices and stamps should be the least of their concerns.

Loretta is a poor comparison as he had very limited range and could play every infield position. He was also slow and Turang is fast.

If I were the Colts, I would sign Jackson right after the draft but that's me.

Gotta imagine the Jets GM gets fired if he botches the Rodgers trade. Yes the Jets COULD sign Lamar Jackson but the Ravens could just as easily match and then the Jets either stick with Wilson or spend a ton of draft capital to move up and get a rookie.

Winker looks like he still has some left in the tank and might be a perfect 2 hole hitter. Wiemer looks like Yount, plays like Hart.

So Rodgers wasn't answering when Gute called. I can't believe Rodgers left that out of his story! I imagine it was like this when Gute attempted to call him.

Just say no to 2025 compensation based on Rodgers coming back. Once he is traded, he is their problem on if he comes back or not.

Another part about this that hasn't been talked about much is this draft. If this doesn't get done by this year's draft, that could change things a bit. The Jets have the 13th pick in the draft and would very likely have a much lower pick in next year's draft with Rodgers. Plus current year draft picks always have a little more value (even in what is considered a weaker draft). If the Jets want this to be a 2024 draft pick, they for sure need to cough up their first, maybe more.

I'm always amazed that people are so offended when an obvious grift is pointed out to them. I don't mind paying for schools honestly but the tax credits/breaks are dumb as most are.

Because you could keep him a year or two and then trade him for more than 2 first round picks? Or you could trade him to a team that doesn't get one of the good quarterbacks in the draft. Deshaun Watson, a worse quarterback, got more than 3 first round picks. Also, if the Jets thought Lamar was a good option, why do so much to get AR? It would have been malpractice to not have SOME idea what the Packers wanted before going to California to meet with AR. No one knows how long Lamar will go before signing with another team or back with Baltimore anyways.

If Rodgers hears this, 100% he is not going and will just retire or find another team. Then Baltimore matches on Jackson and you are probably stuck with Zach Wilson as your quarterback and the NY media is going to destroy you. Sure you could trade up in the draft for one of the rookies but you are going to pay dearly.

You have kids and that means you get a tax break... why? I also pay for schools for those kids as well. I don't have a problem with paying taxes but it's dumb that I pay more because I choose to not have kids, that's all.

Being a non married with no kids decent earner at tax time. My married friends with kids let me know how much I get screwed each tax season.
