The portfolio I am managing is an early retirement portfolio with etfs that I never plan on selling. I dollar cost average buy every week. I do have to stop looking at the market every day however. It is hard mentally to say I am buying these etfs "on sale". What is everyone's favorite etf?

Looking to the rest of the draft, the Packers likely will pick from these positions: WR OL Safety TE Edge They have quick a few picks to get it done and I would be very surprised if they didn't consolidate some of their 9 remaining picks to move up in spots. Sign me up for at least one of the following in the 2nd round: Pickens, Watson, or Pierce and the other pick from Ebiketie, Pitre, Raimann

This team might be a little more defense focused just like the Brewers. I do not look forward to the posts of Packers888 about the lack of offense.

Give me two out of Olave, Hill, Pickens or Karlaftis in the first 2 picks and I will be happy.

After doing some reading, I think Pickens is a guy we end up with at 28. Best case scenario is that a QB slides and a team trades up to 28 and we can get Pickens in the first part of round 2.

I think they need to get a WR in the first 2 rounds, not necessarily in the first. If there Kyle Hamilton starts slipping (he has been in some mocks), I wouldn't be shocked if we moved up and got him.

Winning Time is good, not sure how historically accurate it is however.

I'm starting to see prices stabilize or decrease in some areas (lumber, used cars) but overall inflation isn't going under 5% for a while I think. Food prices will continue to be an issue and the conflict in Ukraine is going to make it much worse. My dad is a farmer and has locked in higher prices than he has ever gotten for 2022. Of course his input costs are higher than ever as well.

Started watching this based on your recommendation. I laugh and watch the intro every time which is pretty rare. I'm having a hard time not seeing Vigilante as Napoleon Dynamite as a Superhero.

My father has a second house near Phoenix. He can walk to the football stadium. It's not listed, but he's still getting two calls per day to sell at some very high prices. He was really tempted to sell but my brother I think correctly reminded him that since he's set money-wise, what's the point of selling? Unless there's a plan to actually do something with the money to better enjoy retirement, then there's no value to just having more money. My father is a good example of what consistent savings can do for a person. Never made more than $40k/year and the mother only occasionally worked. But the father saved 20-30% of every paycheck and was blessed to only be out of work for six months of his entire career. It meant stretching every penny, certainly. We never went out to eat, etc. But now someone who never made much money never has to ask himself if he can afford anything anymore. If either of them end up needing long-term assisted living we'll actually be able to pay for it. The power of compounding interest is pretty much undefeated.

What sort of real estate? Flipping? Rentals? Side by side duplexes and farm land.

I am pouring some money into the market again. Probably a good time for everyone else to pull theirs as I have had comically bad luck in past attempts. For example, I had a large position in BP right before their oil spill. That led me to just focus on real estate which I have had extremely good luck with. I have a specific set of conditions for my real estate purchases and there is nothing out there right now that fit so back to the market I go. Not to "flex" too much but I could retire today from my real estate income which is pretty good for a dude in his 30s.

Big fan of EVT. Pays ~6.6%, all of it qualified dividends, and has a weak correlation with the market so the price has also appreciated by about the same 6%+ historically. Thanks! I have not come across that one and will take a look.

Look at PFF (iShares Preferred Stock and Income Securities ETF). The yield is 4.68%. That one was on my list that I was considering, thanks.

It's funny I was going to bring this thread back to the top. I am wondering what ETFs you guys would recommend for income? I have some real estate that produces income but nothing out there right now seems like a good deal.

Which area are you talking about? Not a food truck, but if downtown Appleton, you have to try Sal's by the slice. (located right across the street from the PAC) They also give you a delicious garlic roll with the slice. My favorite pizza in Appleton by far. Fox Valley/Madison/Milwaukee
