  1. I think it's still possible they take an Edge like Ejiofor or Okoronkwo with one of the 5ths just to add a body to the rotation. If not, it's probably an indicator that they believe Biegel will factor in significantly more than he did last year. It's possible that Biegel's injury had a substantial detriment to both his development and the team's ability to use him even when he was able to play. Also, why the heck did Tyrell Crosby fall so far? Something newsworthy that I missed today? Just came off in the 5th.
  2. Worth noting that LouisEly predicted the Madison pick in his writeup.
  3. Quick blurb on Madison, per Walter Football (who gave an A- grade for the pick): "Cole Madison was introduced as a tackle, but I think he may have to play guard. That makes more sense, as Green Bay had to bolster its interior protection. I like this pick a lot, as I could see a scenario in which Madison starts as a rookie. "
  4. Cole Madison, T, Wazzu in the 5th.
  5. Ran 4.49 at pro day. Lots of reports that he ran further than 40 yards at the combine, adding time.
  6. Raw receiver, had some drop issues. Lots of size/speed there, though. General feeling is that he plays faster than his 40 time.
  7. J'Mon Moore, WR, Missouri in the 4th
  8. Clearly wrong on that... medicals must be pretty bad. It'll be interesting to see if they're interested at all here. EDIT: Nevermind..... off to Philly.
  9. Yep. I'd expect Leon Jacobs and Natrel Jamerson to get drafted at some point as well. EDIT: forgot about Dooley, thanks for the reminder! The board is actually looking interesting for the Packers at ~10 away. The current run on TEs and DBs has left a lot of the Edge guys there, along with a couple of interesting receivers in St. Brown and Cain.
  10. Hey, there's a Badger! Congrats to Nick Nelson, going to Oakland in the 4th.
  11. Not quick enough. Will really struggle to get open in the pros. Seems like the type of player that's actual 'football speed' is better than his 40-time. From his draft profile: "Has ability to work second level as a pass catcher Starts route with good acceleration from release Crafty with route releases" I'd think his quality blocking skills would complement a non-blocker like Graham very well. I'd have a different opinion if this was the 2nd/3rd, but a late fourth or fifth seems like a reasonable spot for consideration.
  12. I was just thinking about Sweat too. Doesn't look like there is much else in the 3-4 EDGE category unless you mine a gem in Div II. Everything I've read this morning suggests that Sweat will be one of the first players off the board today. If we're interested in a guy like him, we probably have to move up somehow. Okoronkwo, Jeff Holland, and Dorance Armstrong are all Edge guys that are still there beyond Sweat that could be of interest. Duke Ejiofor has the potential to be a late-round steal as well. I like Deon Cain as a WR to keep an eye on. He had some 2-3rd round projections.
  13. Perhaps an immensely homer stance, but you'd have to think that if a TE like Fumagali is there at 133 or 138 the Packers would have interest.
  14. ILB, not OLB, for the record.
  15. Packers trade up to nab Oren Burks, LB, Vanderbilt
  16. Oren Burks, LB, Vandy
  17. Interesting. Arden Key went off at 87, and I’d have had interest.
  18. Quiet in here tonight! Any thoughts on players still here that you would like the Packers to consider trading up for?
  19. Nabbing Jackson in the second is crazy good value.
  20. InLOVE with that. Man, what an exciting value pick.
  21. Man, Jackson has to be intriguing here. I like Williams as well for o-line depth.
  22. Still a solid amount of talent here a few picks away. Wouldn’t be stunned by a trade down to nab a third back.
  23. Seahawks' pick was kind of a shocker. Good call. A couple of reaches (sorry, you too Pittsburgh) by typically solid organizations at the end of the round. Has the luster worn off of John Schneider a bit? Their pick tonight is the type of move that makes you either look like a genius or gets you fired in a couple of years.
  24. A couple of quick 2nd day thoughts: How is Will Hernandez still there? Is he falling based on something I missed? I know OT is perhaps more of a priority for GB, but he seems like immense value here. I like Hernandez, either of the Jacksons or Oliver (if they double-dip on DB), James Daniels, Landry, Chark, Connor Williams, or Sutton in the 2nd. Seems like a lot of value on the o-line here, or potentially our pick of the 2nd-tier receivers.
  25. I said in another thread that some team would look stupid tonight, and it appears that it was the Saints. Glad it was to our benefit.
