  1. What's wrong with Cirillo? How long will he be out? Jammed his wrist on his idiotic caught stealing of third in game one on Friday. Day to day.
  2. Peavey a centerfielder with an arm would have got him. I agree... if Krynzel is out there he's out by 10 feet, but Clark's throw would have been close if it would have been somewhere near the bag. Good to see it didn't matter, though. Great day Ben, it's a crime if you lose this game.
  3. An accurate throw had Burrell at 3rd.... not really sure that it absolutely had to be cut off.
  4. If our starter only gives up 2 runs again and we lose, then the offense should just be left in Philly since they're not going to help on the rest of the roadtrip anyway.
  5. Also coming back is Simon Beresford who pitched for the Brewers' in 2003 and played for Class A West Virginia last season. Septimo was also promoted to West Virginia last season. Those are quite the accomplishments since Beloit was our affiliate last year. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  6. To call Jenkins anything other than a liability at this point is just incorrect.
  7. OK seriously, Lidle is a punk. Carlos did nothing out of the ordinary on that HR. Shut your mouth and pitch the ball. Hey, if you hadn't thrown a crappy pitch, he wouldn't have been able to show boat at all.
  8. Schroeder says Clark wouldn't have had it, I disagree. He broke in on that ball, probably should have caught it.
  9. Why is he even out there? And who would you have gone with?
  10. Man, we play good ball in the 7th and fight for the lead, and five flipping pitches in the bottom of the inning and we're down 2. When the hitting is there the pitching craps out, and when the starters dominate, they lose if they give up 2 runs. Come on, this is just absurd.
  11. And Ricky blows it... good grief.
  12. That pitch to Jenkins was outside... he definitely had a beef.
  13. Small ball.... yipee... way to not play the %. You have 9 outs left and you give one away, o yeh and you waste your best hitter. I HATE that. Worked out quite nicely, though. The young infielders are getting the job done tonight...
  14. Good to see Moeller coming around a bit.
  15. Good grief.... Davis threw like 5 strikes to Abreu there. Come on, where's the strikezone, Hunter?
  16. Looks like we're going to be able to sign our Miami guys in the near future. Good season, but Nebraska is just better.
  17. Jack said with Powell last night that at least 20 would be draft and follows.
  18. Paraphrasing: Q: Why not go with Maybin? Jack: Had he been 1st on our board, we would have taken him.
  19. They kind of ran out of time in regards to Jemile (and Powell probably wasn't aware at that point that we grabbed the younger Eveland as well), so he said that they'd talk about the Weekses at another time.
  20. Surprised that no one mentioned the interview during the 3rd/4th innings yesterday (and if I missed the thread, I apologize). A few things of note: Jack Z. said that Braun's assignment would depend on how long it takes to sign him. If he signs right away, they'd play off his college season success and send him right to West Virginia, but if he takes a bit to get inked, they'd send him to Helena at first to get back up to speed before he was sent to WV later. I was very encouraged by his eval of Inman. He said he wasn't scouted much by other teams, and quite frankly he didn't understand why. Said that his velocity was in the upper 80's early on, and teams just stopped scouting him at that point. They sent scout after scout to get numerous opinions on him, and they all liked him a lot, and said he was improving quickly over the course of the season. He implied that our 10th rounder wasn't the only pre-draft deal, and also said that a few others were signed (or on the verge) and would probably be announced at some point today. Those are the main things I could remember off the top of my head since I was at work and trying to listen as best as I could last night.
  21. Seattle just drafted somebody from Villanova. I had no idea we had a baseball team. So if they start drafting people from Wisconsin we should really be scared?
  22. Our third rounders have always been a disaster under Jack Z. Maybe we drafted for signability just to throw in the towel without wasting too much money. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
