  1. Hoffy, Hunter played it clean and has a rifle for an arm, so there was no chance for him to score.
  2. Great outing for Taubenheim thus far...
  3. Damian Miller is stuggling behind the plate this inning... yipe.
  4. Ryan Braun's mom is running in the sausage race? Heh. Welcome to Wisconsin, kid.
  5. Thanks for the info. Ohka's probably not real fond of Miller Park at this point, but if he'd stop hanging sliders to Hunter, it'd still be 1-1.
  6. What did the guy get for Rickie's HR ball? I missed the segment, so I'm curious.
  7. Wow... there's that power we've heard so much about.
  8. He has 58 K's in 66 IP, thats a good K rate. He had 264 in 237IP last year for 10.03 K/9IP. This year, 7.83, which is much closer to the numbers from before last season. He has 16 BB's in 66 IP, thats not bad at all either. He walked 32 in all of last season. He's projected to surpass that number already this year. Plus he's getting behind a bunch of hitters and throwing lots of 2 and 3 ball counts, which add to his pitch total. Not a good trend. He's currently allowing a .747 OPS, up from .636 last year. I agree that there's plenty of time for him to rebound, but the trends are disturbing.
  9. Good grief Moeller.... you catch that ball and he's out at the plate.
  10. A couple quick thoughts: Len Kasper has turned himself into a solid announcer. He's really improved since his fill-in days in Milwaukee back in the day. Brenly, on the other hand, is a bigger doofus than Schroeder by far. Kasper made a solid point about strikeouts don't really matter when you're hitting like Derrick Lee and walking your fair share, to which Brenly responded, "He's going to strikeout over 100 times, and if he turned four out of every ten of those into hits, he'd be batting even higher." Bah? Even John Madden thought that was a moronically obvious statement. Anyone else getting concerned that we're seeing the Sheets closer to years 1-3 rather than the Sheets of 2004? Not striking many people out, giving up a ton of HR's, and not as sharp on his control. I'm a bit worried...
  11. Brady ALMOST got burned going home on an infield hit for the 2nd time in the game there. Good throw and he's out by a mile. Heck, anything close would have had him.
  12. Good grief Rickie- make the darn turn!! 0/2
  13. And there's the poor defense from Weeks again.
  14. One inning too long for Wise, it seems.
  15. Hey Donnelly- let's not throw up the stop sign after Rickie's already 10 feet around the bag at third next time.
  16. We really need to invest in a Brady Clark baserunning anchor. Stay put Brady!
  17. Reports of Brady Clark's demise appear to be greatly exaggerated...
  18. I don't know how accurate it is to say that it looks like they won't bring up a corner OF. For all we know, Hart could get the call when Prince goes back down. And at this point, I'm definitely in favor of calling him up for the remainder of the year.
  19. Good to see Katin in the fold, as I'm very eager to see what he can do. He strikes me as a guy who could be a great find that late in the draft.
  20. And to answer an earlier question, yeah, I believe he waits until they're signed to put them on.
  21. He gets a mulligan. I'm more ticked at Bottalico yesterday. Again, we ask why?
  22. At this point I hope they go in the tank so I can save some money on tickets... Then why are you here or a fan of the Brewers? Man, I don't understand fans that think like this. I really hope you were being sarcastic.
  23. Congratulations Milwaukee.... you've successfully turned feelings of joy and optimism on Friday afternoon following a great trade and news of Weeks' callup into total depression after a sweep in Philly. Sheets drops to 2-6. He's continually plagued by crappy defense and non-existent offense in his starts. I can't believe he resigned with us.
  24. Ned played it right, Phelps just pitched like crap.
  25. Good grief this team is hard to watch. Sutton- "What a nightmare." Yup. Welcome to what us fans have been put through for 13 years.
