  1. Seems like this Weeks guy might be kinda good.
  2. So Nelson Cruz went 4/6 with 1 HR, 1 RBI, 4 R, 2 BB, 2 doubles and 2 stolen bases on the day? Good grief... .435 average in a small sample, but wow.
  3. That ought to be fun. Yeah, in a 'hey, we haven't thrown someone out in CF that's going to be worse defensively than Podsednik was in a while' sort of way...
  4. Can not watch the game, So going through the game thread later will suck lots.
  5. You just have to know, Jim Powell is reading this And thinks we are dorks.
  6. Yeah, Ben mentioned that he was forcing Moeller to call curves again.... And I agree that the Delgado ball to Overbay should have been a game-ending double play.
  7. Is McKeon drunk? Mota batting in the bottom of the 8th with the winning run at first? Am I missing something? And now winning run at 2nd?
  8. And NOW Lenny Harris PH's on 0-2? What in the world? I'm absolutely mystified.
  9. Isn't it amazing that after Sheets started throwing curveballs in the 5th inning, he's been completely unhittable? Come on guys, this isn't rocket surgery.... you have to throw curveballs from the onset.
  10. What a strange move by Florida. Bring in Bump with the pitcher due to bat, and their own pitchers' spot due to lead off in the next inning. Really quite odd to basically waste a pitcher to get a terrible hitting pitcher like Sheets out.
  11. Some manager/pitching coaches still call for certain pitches agaisnt given batters. Yeah, that's understandable, but I think the poster was questioning whether they called all of the pitches from the dugout...
  12. Moeller. Why would they come from the dugout?
  13. Ok, Chad and Ben seriously need to get together and start throwing curveballs. This 90% fastball crap has got to stop, and is largely responsible for his mediocrity lately (and not to mention the ton of HR's he's giving up).
  14. And why put Ricky Bottalico in to put out a fire when he's been regularly lit up? Maybe because he hasn't been 'regularly lit up'? His ERA coming in was 3.21 (and afterwards, its still under 4), and he'd allowed fewer hits/IP. In his last 6 outings, he'd only allowed 1 run and 3 hits in 7 2/3 innings. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his performance to this point.
  15. The thing that amazes me about the Brewers this year is that it always seems like when the pitching is fantastic, the offense gets shutout or scores 1-2 runs, but when we put up 5 or more, the pitching gives up like 8.
  16. JJ may have just bought himself a plane ticket to Nashville with that craptacular bunt. Yeah, if they choose to ignore the fact that otherwise he was 2/4 with 2 runs and 2 rbi and two doubles on the day...
  17. Tie game. Fantastic. Ned and co. have lots of explaining to do after this one...
  18. its amazing how ned can mess up a blowout win. Maddux has as much say in pitching moves and bullpen usage as Ned does, and some reports say that he often has the final word. That said, whoever is responsible for the mess today certainly deserves to be criticized mercilessly.
  19. its amazing how the mood of this board can change in a matter of minutes That kind of goes hand in hand with scoring 5 runs in the bottom of an inning, only to give all 5 right back in the top of the next.
  20. Very angry with the management in this inning. Davis shouldn't have been out to start the 7th. Then, Davis should have been pulled after the HR. Then, Davis should have been pulled after the single. No, he's allowed to go to 2-0 on Bay before they finally make a move. Bottalico? Heh. 5 run lead was a perfect time to get DLR some work, since he hasn't pitched since like June 17th. And suddenly it's a 3-run game. Way to go, Mike and Ned. Davis never should have been in for the 7th.
  21. Probably shouldn't have left Davis in....
  22. Carlos Lee may be worse than Ben Grieve in the field. Actually no. Let's not start overreacting. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif Davis has to be backing up there. No excuse for mental lapses like that. Still have to make a better throw, though.
  23. From left to right: Bill (batman), Brian (Brian the Automator), Rickie Weeks, Chris (BillScottCanRake), and Patrick (colbyjack).
  24. The Future's so bright I've gotta wear shades! Or perhaps sunglasses at night? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif The time is nearing for that as well.....
