  1. Correct me if I'm wrong...but hasn't it been 5 games since our last hit with a runner in scoring position? I can't remember anything since last Friday vs. the Cubs. Branyan on Monday vs. Pittsburgh.
  2. ugh...Mike Jones =Neugy Mike Jones is/was nowhere near as touted or advanced as Nuke was. Nuke at least had gotten to Milwaukee before the trouble started.
  3. Even Kip Wells was impressed by that one.
  4. That was a really, really long homerun.
  5. Brevard County: TBD at Port St. Lucie (Mets), Are they just drawing names out of a hat or something in BC? Seriously, they're the only Brewer affiliate that doesn't seem to grasp the concept of announcing their rotation/matchups. Either that, or this TBD guy must be a stud since he's pitched on Saturday, Sunday, and now Monday.
  6. Its early. We're like 5 games into the season.... don't jump to conclusions yet.
  7. EDIT - For the record, in no way am I suggesting the Brewers Bench Jenkins, but in situations like this, VERSUS A LEFTY, in the 12th inning, he should have been pinch hit for. So who plays the outfield then? Billy Hall? Yipe. Probably not the best idea...
  8. SOME MORE STUFF ION JENKINS ONLY TIME HE EVER HITS IT TO OPPOSITE FIELD ITS A JAM SHOT OR CUE OFF END BAT NOT LIKE HES TRY ING TO HIT IT OPPO FIELD PULLS EVERY THING KS 1?3 AT BATS OR HITS PISS POOR GROUNDBZ TO RIGHT FIELD THEN SHOWS FAKE ANGER AT THE END OF K'ING LIKE HE HASNT DONE IT BEFORE HE SHOULD BE USED TO IT What? his Pitch Count was bout 85. 93, actually. I don't have a problem with the move at all. His spot was up in the inning and he was close to 100 with the lead. Is Phelps a situational guy? Why was he in for so damn long? He was in to face the two lefties with Lee in between. He allowed all three to reach, hence the problem.
  9. I'd strongly consider going with Oby here.... come on Derrick...
  10. Man, Brady should have had that ball.
  11. Nice to see Nelson hitting well early on. Hopefully he's fully healed from his injury and ready to mash again this year.
  12. The title of this thread needs to have '/de la Rosa love-fest' added to it. Wow.
  13. Good grief... how many pitches does 'Rosa throw? Fastball, slider, change, now a curve? Wow.
  14. Oh man.... And what the heck are Cubs fans pissed about?
  15. Hmmm...young hard throwing lefty, broken in via the bullpen. I'd say our "friends" in Minnesota have heard this one before You know, I hadn't really given that much thought, but it might be a fairly apt comparison....
  16. De la Rosa is going to make the Sexson trade by far one of the best trades in franchise history. Very, very impressive stuff. I think this role on the team suits him very well, too. He doesn't have the command to start and be consistently successful yet, as he'll only be able to go ~5 innings before hitting 100 pitches. He's going to be a fantastic starter someday, though. Hopefully Castro and Maddux can help him harness the control.
  17. Man, his stuff is simply electric. If he harnesses his control, he's going to be scary good.
  18. Come on Terry, that's been high all day until now.
  19. Kudos to Ned for letting Russell hit vs. the LHP.
  20. I'd rather try to score Clark from first on a double (you know, something Overbay does a lot of) than having him try to steal. Yep, you're 100% correct on this one. I'm all for aggressiveness on the paths, but you have to pick your spots better than that.
  21. Could have been a botched hit and run, but even that is a silly call with Lyle up. Just let the dude hit. Yeah, I agree that in that situation its not a great move. At 3-1, let him either work the walk or rip a pitch he likes.
  22. What the h*** was that steal call all about! and why didnt overbay swing! that was a TERRIBLE CALL!! Man, that was weird. Overbay took one right down the middle without swinging. I'm thinking that was a botched hit and run.
  23. Brady got around that tag... he was safe.
