  1. I'm quite sure Yost told Hall he was squeezing first pitch while Pod was still hitting. They showed Hall leaving the on-deck circle during Pod's AB to go to the dugout and I would guess he was told "if they aren't walking you, squeeze the first pitch" . Great, great game. I'm not sure how many they're going to win this year, (I would guess 75 or so still) but this might be the first team since maybe '87 that really leaves a distinctive positive memory a number of years down the road. I know 88 and 92 were good, but were not teams that jumped out at you like '78, '82 and '87.
  2. Don't make the second out at home plate!!!!!
  3. Of the 6 general guys available not counting Vizcaino (set-up) and Kolb (closer). Ford and Santos would be my 5th and 6th picks. With a rested bullpen, I don't get it.
  4. Kinney's got that Navarro-Quevedo thing going, wouldn't break my heart to see him out of the rotation real soonhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  5. Did the Houston pitcher just strike out the side on 9 pitches?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif That only happens about 3-4 times a year in all of MLB
  6. Lower back tightness, seems to be an annual problem
  7. When he was running the bases in the fourth, he made kind of a klutzy move legging into third after Berkman hacked up Pod's fly. Wonder if it's related to that.
  8. I'm stunned by the crowd tonight, looks like it's near 30K. Johnson's going tonight , but that's not that big of a novelty
  9. Wagner's first pitch after the HR was 101. A little anger management perhapshttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  10. It takes a special sort of pitcher to give one up that deep. Vizcaino sure fills that bill. How far would that have gone with corkhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. I saw the "warning track power" and it made me roll my eyes as well,. However, I think they're saying that's good power for an 18 yr. old, gains some physical maturity....
  12. Jones has a wacky pitching line. 9 hits, 3 walks in 6 innings and the only run comes on a solo HR. W.Tenn's RISP Ave. must have been ugly.
  13. ...In the fifth, Hart is credited with a hit, even tho the ball struck Krynzel as he was running between second and third. In the buttom of the inning, the Diamond Jaxx appearantly scored the tying run, except the runner missed third base and was called out.... In case there is any confusion, if a runner is hit by a batted ball, the hitter automatically gets a single, by rule.
