Apparently your team has to blow to be an all-star coach this year. Pena, Tosca, Hurdle and Williams (In very likely his last act in a Houston uniform)
Only good thing is Bennett, who has hit the wall a touch, gets to go into the break on an up note. Pulling your closer in the middle of an inning is depressinghttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
When the back-to-back comment was made, I thought it was a joke threadhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif Not a good way to go into the break, though they aren't buried yet.
Have to keep Jenkins' glove in the game with the lead. Didn't pinch hit for Grieve, postivie development considering Clark or MacGruder will be in RF for the 9th, last catch notwithstanding.
Adams better be up only in case of a PH situation in this inning. 115 or so pitches is not too many for your ace in the biggest game of the season. (That's what Ben projects to through 7)
Was listening with half an ear, but I think Schroeder used the words DL and Spivey in the same sentence. Too bad, he was playing well. BTW, Overbay, yes....
Like to see a fairly quick hook here if it comes down to it. Playing with house money right now, got a credible start from Obie, don't set him up to fail.
I'm not a big advocate of throwing at people, but I didn't have a problem with working Bay inside enough to hit him. He's hotter than a firecracker and the previous hitter just pulled an outside pitch 425 feet. Pittsburgh was getting waaaay too comfortable at the plate.
IIRC, when Pittsburgh dropped the 4 game sweep on the Brewers in '01, they won some weird games. This one was just a butt kicking by a big time young lefty. It happened, move on and work on the split.
1070 Radio in Madison reported that Gallardo has signed and is headed to Arizona. That means everyone 16 and higher that they can sign (assuming 12 and 16 will have visa issues) has signed. Time to figure out draft and follows and if they want to make an "off the hook" offer to a few of their picks that slid.
I had gamecast up and as soon as I saw the pitch location and "run-scoring" play, I thought Grand Slam, even with Moeller up.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif
That last play where Overbay got thrown out at 3rd can be scored base hit--runner out going to 3rd, though it wasn't. There's no way Everett gets Hall.
