  1. Knebel looks like a future closer to me. Maybe sooner rather than later.
  2. Different strike zone in Canada? That 2-2 pitch was about 8 inches outside, and still elicited mass groans from the crowd when it was called a ball.
  3. 'Good eye from Perez. ' LOL, come on Rock. That was nothing but dumb luck.
  4. It's tough but they're doing the right thing in waiting it out and giving him the whole season there. Got to give him a long leash there if for no other reason than he's the guy there and will be for awhile. Isan Diaz is a long ways from the bigs.
  5. Good job catching that routine throw from Arcia to end the inning, Villar. (Pats on back)
  6. Just stating, the backup for Arcia at this point isn't a better option just await for him to come around. I agree. I don't think anyone is really calling for his benching though.
  7. Nothing like putting on the tying run on for free to start the inning, Barnes.
  8. Striking out looking with 2 out and RISP drives me nuts, and we've done it multiple times tonight. A single drives in a run. At least protect and attempt to put it in play.
  9. And there's Perez who I'd assume by looking poor as well makes Arcia the SS starter. Perez was never really a challenger for anything other than 3rd, til we traded for Shaw. He needs to learn how to take a walk though if he's ever going to be more than a utility infielder.
  10. With 2 out, no reason to take a big risk taking 3rd. Should have been Ball 4 to Shaw though.
  11. I had no idea what you were talking about which was my reminder to fast forward back to live TV. Thanks!
  12. They need to stick with the kid berating his dad at his work presentation, telling him to get some confidence.
  13. Honestly, what the hell is Wily doing? He has Tulo down 0-2 twice and throws two just terrible pitches.
  14. I'm probably just nitpicking Villar's D at this point, but didn't it look like he had plenty of time to go to 2nd?
  15. Broxton is so streaky. When he's down, he can be really hard to watch. But when he's at his best he is so good.
  16. Broxton has a slow start to the season and after 2 ABs is already up to an .837 OPS. Lol.
  17. Still not playing? Good grief, you'd think they won the World Series last year.
  18. I don't see them moving any of Davies, Peralta, Anderson or Nelson out of the rotation unless one is just awful. Davies started like this last year too so I think it's just a matter of time when he'll settle it. That doesn't mean that Garza can't win a spot or force them to a 6 man rotation with a strong 5-6 starts, but it's going to take more than he's shown the last couple years. Mediocre won't cut it. When Garza comes back, it won't be a 6 man rotation. He will replace Millone. I think he means when Guerra returns.
  19. I don't really watch much anymore and I don't know if it still goes on, but I'd just like to chime in that whoever started the whole get the crowd to chant 'WHAT!' every time someone finishes a sentence in an interview is pretty much the worst person ever.
  20. Braun and Knebel for Beede, Arroyo and Fabian, no salary heading to the Giants or equivalent cap number coming back? Yes, I'd do it.
  21. I could change the title to 'I believe this will happen,' or 'This is an overreaction,' If you prefer.
  22. 1. This team looks like it'll be pretty bad. Take the under on 70 wins. 2. Perez was a one year wonder who hit his ceiling last year. 3. Broxton's 2nd half 2016 was a fluke, we wont see that player again. 4. Aguilar should get as many ABs as Thames this year. 5. Peralta, Nelson, and Anderson will all be better than Davies this year. 6. This team will break the all time MLB strikeout record of 1543 - set by the 2016 Brewers. 7. Villar will never play passably well anywhere in the IF.
