  1. That’s what will end up happening in this league when you walk guys.
  2. 7 inning doubleheaders were the bomb. I wish they’d make that a regular part of the schedule. Like 7 inning doubleheader every other Saturday, which would also give guys like 13 extra full days off during the season.
  3. Went into Walmart down 2-1 and came back out and were up 6-2. Awesome !
  4. It sucks, but I’d be more upset if it was from chasing a wild pitch and doing that. He got a pitch to hit. Just didn’t do anything with it.
  5. Just absolutely terrible execution by the Brewers this inning. Terrible AB by Ortiz followed by Peralta just straight donating a run by walking Soto and then forgetting about him.
  6. Ugh, Joey. The one thing you couldn’t do and you took one pitch to do it.
  7. Tying run on 2nd with the game on the line and Bauers and Collins up there just guessing with 2 strikes. Anyone who attended today should be given a full refund.
  8. Great hustle by Frelick and Yelich, good eye by Chourio. The rest of the guys in that sequence? Yech.
  9. Ortiz did not make a good throw, but it’s rarer than a blue moon that you ever see Rhys bail out an infielder with a good pick.
  10. I’m not sure where blowing a 6-0 lead at home to one of the worst teams in baseball history would fall on the embarrassment meter, but it would have to be right up there.
  11. I’m not saying that was an easy play but if you get that much glove on it, you might as well catch it.
  12. Quintana was a nice signing. But he’s just here to help us get by for now. He’s not going to be someone who is on the playoff roster in October.
  13. Markovic is a good value here, about as much possible upside as you can get at #47.
  14. The elephant in the room is that we need to cap Miz at maybe 130 innings this year. I don’t know what the plan is to do that, but I highly doubt they’re going to push him beyond that. He won’t be available for the playoffs unless we should him down for awhile or move him to the pen.
  15. For any dissenters, I’d like to make this point: After he signed, Aaron Ashby missed all of 2023 with a shoulder injury, had shoulder surgery, then had oblique issues, and still nobody is complaining about his contract. I’m glad he’s signed to it - I’m glad we have him. Obviously the dollars and structure aren’t going to look the same — but the point is that you do these deals and bad things happen, you can still operate as a small market team. It doesn’t really hurt.
  16. IMO, When the ball gets away from the catcher on Strike 3, and you just stand there in the batters box, that’s not a good look.
