Not surprised to see Mona still penciled in at SS with Ortiz just back, but I wonder if Ortiz will come in defensively late.

Have to think a Bauers or Seigler DFA is coming. Hoskins needs a spot and they’ve simply run out of room and time.

Have to think this roster could take at least 1 out of a 4 game series against the Rockies.

The difference between #1 and #2 is pretty immaterial. Just don’t drop further than #2. Take 2 out of 3 against the Phils this week and it would be really hard for them to come back.

Great to see the Cubs not steal it. Held serve with the Cubs this last series when they had the Rockies and we had the Jays. I’ll take that.

He was a huge part of a very fun summer. But yeah, I don’t think he’s the long-term guy at 1st. He might get a tender next year though and be the 1B by default since we don’t really have any better options.

That wasn’t headed for CF like they said. It probably ends up being a 4-3 double play if Little doesn’t field it.

Differentiating between your starters and relievers isn’t that important in the playoffs. Whichever pitchers make that playoff roster will be asked to get outs anywhere between the 1st and 9th innings. Win a playoff game and then figure out the next one.

He will play some of both 3rd and short. Durbin doesn’t just get benched. Seigler is pretty screwed at this point though.
