  1. Postseason Roster Rules & Eligibility | Glossary | MLB.com WWW.MLB.COM The Official Site of Major League Baseball According to MLB's website, he is correct.
  2. Packers lost - Check Bears won - Check Vikings won - Check Lions won - Check Love injured- Check That's uh, one hell of a lousy week 1.
  3. Is Collinsworth drunk? He just went on about how the Lions will play it safe in OT in the red zone and maybe kick the FG on 3rd down, only to be reminded by his colleague that they need a TD to ice the game. So then he sheepishly admitted that the Lions need a TD on this drive.
  4. The Packers are anticipating the shorter end of the timeline.
  5. Too far out now after the penalty I think.
  6. Before you laugh at the Browns for giving Deshaun Watson 230 million dollars of guaranteed money, be sure to remember first that they also gave up three 1st round picks for the privilege of paying him that money.
  7. Hope everybody is ready for a full week of "Bear Down" and "We dem boyz".
  8. Yeah they have Dalvin Cook, too. Great backfield as long as the year is 2019.
  9. Zeke actually looks good. Watson still looks like the worst contract in NFL history.
  10. Bo Nix discovering that apparently playing in the NFL in real games against NFL starters is not quite the exact same as playing against 2nd and 3rd stringers in preseason.
  11. If you replayed this entire game with no commentary and just a sad trombone playing in the background it would make a lot more sense.
  12. Even a lefty specialist in today's MLB has to be at least serviceable at getting righties out. At least on a competitive team. The LOOGY is dead. The modern rules have made them antiquated, particularly the 3 batter minimum. You can't afford to carry a lefty specialist that serves no other purpose.
  13. Given that they optioned a far better reliever to activate Hoby again, I would say the answer to this is no, Hoby does not have something to offer over the next man up. Or even the next 3 men up. If Misiorowski or Yoho was brought up, does anyone really expect them not to outperform Hoby?
  14. My God the Titans suck. Nice work, guys.
  15. Screw the Titans for putting the Bears in their place, and then pissing it all away and allowing Bears fans to now continue thinking they're a dynasty in the making.
  16. Yeah I understand. I brought this up in the GT a few days ago where a few of us were saying Hicklen needed to go and were told we were giving up on him way too fast. So it was just a tongue in cheek response.
  17. Impossible. No way would we give on Hicklen after just a few games.
  18. I think what he was saying is that "articles" like these come out of the woodwork every time there's anything to speculate on and doesn't amount to any real journalism. It's no different than us speculating on our own. Sure, we can speculate on Ryan Tannehill, but at the moment there's no more substance to that possibly happening than trading for Zach Wilson or signing Cam Newton.
  19. Jimmy G is pretty much a quality backup in name only. He couldn't even keep the job from a 4th round rookie QB last year. I'd definitely rather have Fields, but no way were the Bears going to trade him here. Someone like Gardner Minchew would have been awesome to have right now but of course he got to compete for (and win) a starting job this year so I'm sure that opportunity was more appealing. Taylor Heinecke was I thought a reasonable option that would have made a lot of sense. I don't get Malik. Every time I've ever seen him he's looked terrible and he's not someone with the tools to come run a traditional offense.
  20. If we start 0-5 without Love, one of these things is true: 1) Our roster isn't nearly as good as we hyped it up to be 2) We grossly neglect our backup QB roster spot. Or some of both. Probably some of both.
  21. Indy next week is an interesting litmus test of what we can expect without Love. They're not an awful team, but they're definitely one we'd expect to beat with Love, particularly at home. If we can pull it off, maybe we can turn that 1 win into 2 and end up handing Jordan back the keys at 2-2 or 2-3, which certainly wouldn't be devastating. If we get blown out of Lambeau...well, we're probably going to be digging ourselves into quite the hole to start the season.
  22. There's a part of me that believes that it won't even be Malik. I think it's entirely possible that this is a development year for Malik and he was only going to be relied on in a pinch. If it's a multi game absence, bringing up Clifford from the practice squad as the starter in favor of his familiarity with the offense and system would not surprise me.
  23. While definitely true, can we win any games with Malik Willis as our QB? Let's assume just for example that Love misses 3 games. We have the Colts at home, then at Tennessee and then the Vikings at home. We absolutely must win one of these, we cannot start out 0-4. My expectation really based on the opponent quality would be to go 2-1, but I truly don't know if Willis is going to be able to move the offense at all.
  24. I don't personally think I'm being overly optimistic at all. I'm being what I see as realistic based on all we really know so far: - It isn't his ankle - They believe it's not his ACL based on field tests - They'll need an MRI to know for sure. Based on that being all I know and me not being any sort of medical expert, I'm anticipating a torn MCL with a multi game absence. But, time will tell and none of us really know for certain until they get the MRI done and release the results.
  25. Right, but they would have still done preliminary field tests to at least try to narrow down a diagnosis.
