The inning was pretty badly mismanaged by Murphy. I don't know why you're setting up the bunt to get up Turang with a bad matchup as the guy who has to get it done.
Seems like it is in fact possible to get the runner home from 2nd when you just play the game and aren't trying ridiculously hard to give away extra outs to get the runner home.
Do you even have a better statistical chance of scoring more than 0 runs in a particular inning with a runner on 3rd and 1 out than a runner on 2nd with 0 out? Surely there has to be a stat nerd here who knows the answer to that.
This is probably the one time I would have been ok against the lefty to see if Brewer can run into one and of course they already have Frelick in who has no chance to run into one.
