He’s an ok guy to take the ball every 5th day in the regular season as your 5th guy.

This is about the kind of result I would have expected tonight when you start a pitcher like Jose Quintana against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It’s no more or less of a deal than anyone who believed in “Uek magic”. I understand it didn’t “really” affect anything, but baseball is a funny sport like that and you end up in a lot of situations that seem to have some irony in them.
To each their own, I thought it was kind of petty and dumb. I thought that moment should have been about what we accomplished and not about the Cubs and their stupid traditions.
Just a really embarrassing series. I was always okay with just beating the Cubs if it never went further, but just getting pantsed in the NLCS has honestly taken a little joy out of that.
