No one is really “down” on Golden. The truth of the matter is that Jordan Love just might be a mid-tier QB. That isn’t complaining, it’s just entirely possible that he isn’t going to improve his deep ball accuracy enough to take the step to being an elite QB.
That doesn’t mean we can’t win a Super Bowl with him and isn’t a knock. Not every QB that comes through Green Bay is going to be a Hall of Famer.
I am not really worried about Golden. He looks skilled. I am just not sure how great of a fit he is in an offense with a QB that is known for deep ball accuracy issues.
Hard to complain about much, but pretty disappointed with what we’ve seen from Golden. Invisible in Week 1 and followed it up with a goose egg even with Reed sidelined. Not ideal.
I don’t know if their faith in their coverage unit is just completely shot as others said, but they are going to have to figure it out. You can’t just concede a 65 yard field all season.
See now here I would have done exactly what they did and kicked it. Not that they were likely to come back from 2 possessions but 3 makes it pretty much academic.
Kicking it into the endzone when touchbacks start at the 35 twice in a game when you almost never used to do it when touchbacks came out to the 25 is… interesting.
I love that when the Commanders finally got something going and we needed to answer, we did so immediately. That’s something we wouldn’t have seen in previous seasons.
That sure seems like the doomsday scenario to think that an offense that has barely moved the ball all game is going to drive 96 yards, get the ball back, and drive all the way down the field again all within 5 minutes.
