  1. Megill is still on IL. A lot of Brewer relievers seem to be running out of gas, but Jared Koenig is not one of them.
  2. 21% RBI probability on a 2-1 count with a man on 3rd was a flat out insult to Turang.
  3. What does it take to get more than a shallow freaking fly ball with a man on 3rd and 1 out?
  4. I think there was some hope when Vaughn got here after awhile that maybe some adjustments were made and, even though the 1.000 OPS obviously wasn’t sustainable, maybe a really good hitter was. At this point I’d lean toward he’s probably not the guy, even though of course everything he’s already done is more than worth giving up Civale. He’s a better player than he showed with the Sox, though.
  5. Absolute hats off to Priester. I’m totally guilty of bemoaning how he looked in the early innings especially with the short pen, all of the sudden you look up at the scoreboard and he gave us 7 innings and 2 runs which is EXACTLY what we needed.
  6. Tough result, but the contact was there that time.
  7. I don’t worship Vaughn. I’ve said numerous times that he’s given us a lot of special and memorable moments over a fun summer but there’s a lot of reason to doubt if he’s the long-term guy at 1st. Same as Rowdy Tellez did.
  8. Yeah that one RBI single totally flips the argument of his entire career on its head.
  9. lol. I’m happy for him. Really. That must feel good.
  10. And the 1 run only came because of an error.
  11. The reason Bauers gets his fair share of grief is that most players in this lineup are good players who are going through a rough stretch. Bauers is not a good player, has never been a good player, and yet continues to receive a large share of playing time. That’s the difference. Will I be frustrated if Hoskins goes 0 for 4 with 2 K’s in his first game back? Of course, but I’ll at least understand that he has had success in the big leagues and playing him is an understandable thing.
  12. 0 for our last 18 with runners in scoring position. Absolutely freaking dreadful.
  13. Nothing about seeing Bauers play regularly should make anyone feel better about our chances.
  14. Quinn looks terrible and it couldn’t come at a worse time. Just an awful pitch to Pham.
  15. Not impressed with Priester so far today.
  16. That was an ugly AB by Bauers, but at least he was batting left-handed while he did it.
  17. So after an 0 for 10 day with RISP we are already 0 for 4 after 1 literal half inning. That is hard to do.
  18. We all would. It wouldn’t change the fact that he’s been a career below replacement level player for his entire career and continues to be that way as a Brewer.
  19. Cubs continue to face trash cans. If the Nats could even take 1 game in that series, I’d be happy.
  20. Should. I’d also like to point out that 1 versus 2 is pretty inconsequential. Both are home for the WC round which is the important thing. I’d be bummed if Philly catches us but as long as we hold off the Cubs I won’t lose sleep over it. The Dodgers taking themselves pretty much out of the 1 seed discussion lately has been big.
  21. This is a little misleading because the reality was that he didn’t miss 3 to 4 weeks, he recovered very fast and was back in less than 2 weeks on August 7th and came out of the gates destroying the ball. He’s been in the lineup for Nashville nearly every day since then, so I think this being the reason he hasn’t been called up is highly speculative at best.
  22. We do have better options. It’s Jeferson Quero, He’s one of our top prospects, he’s almost 23 and he’s already on the 40 man roster. It makes all the sense in the world. What are we afraid of, that he’ll be worse than Jansen? For the life of me I can’t understand why we are so afraid to make this move.
  23. If they lose their 21 remaining games, they would enter the playoffs at 86-76 and on a 22 game losing streak with a total of 1 win in the month of September. I cannot possibly imagine the train wreck that would have to take place for this to come to fruition but I’m pretty sure at this point that I’d be desperately waiting for it to come to its merciful end and not grabbing a bowl of popcorn and sitting in my favorite chair to watch them in the Wild Card round.
