The worst managed series of Murphy’s managerial career.
  2. adambr2
Is it okay yet to say “this one’s over”, or does anyone want to chastise those who might say that and say “it’s only the 4th inning”?

Zerpa sucked when he was healthy. I don’t think this team is missing him a lot.
  4. adambr2
Let’s go ahead and stop pretending that it was a really big addition to get Jared Koenig back from injury.
  5. adambr2
    Gasser sucks.
  6. adambr2
Just a pathetic series. No juice at all.

    Great first impression, Shewmake.

    Duplicate

    Murphy sucked today. No question.

Sucking against the Pirates in mid July to put a damper on the 1st half just before going into the AS break. A tradition as old as time.

I think we’ve figured out by now that Sanchez is just going to challenge whenever he wants and the team allotment of challenges means nothing to him.
  12. adambr2
Sanchez has a laundry list of god awful challenges this year but that one takes the cake. A 3-0 count all the way in the zone. What are you doing, man?

My answer is that I believe that Yelich believes he can still do it and isn’t just washed, and probably will continue to believe it longer than the rest of us.
  14. adambr2
See, it’s not just Chourio that sometimes doesn’t make the big play at the wall.
  15. adambr2
Thought for sure that was out. I will take it though.

Tristan Peters hit for the cycle yesterday, was named to the AL All-Star team and has a 3 WAR so far for the White Sox this season. For those who aren’t familiar, we traded him in 2022 for an injured Trevor Rosenthal who never threw a pitch for us.

    Okay easy now
  18. adambr2
Mitchell, Chourio, Lara, Frelick, and Turang all are better options. Really anyone except Ortiz, honestly.
  19. adambr2
You can’t lead off a guy who literally cannot even hit a slider. It’s becoming insanity.
  20. adambr2
At the end of the day, Murphy doesn’t have the guts to bench Yelich or even move him down in the order until the day comes when Yelich actually approaches him and tells him that he thinks he would be for the best interests of the team.
  21. adambr2
May as well make some money off the obvious.
  22. adambr2
If they want to DFA Yelich at some point they have to pay him every penny left on the contract still.
  23. adambr2
I mostly agree with this. I also think it’s really weird to trot your children out on a school night at 10 pm in May to a routine postgame presser for the sole purpose of fidgeting in front of a few hundred thousand television viewers and wondering why they’re there,
  24. adambr2
Sproat and Ashby really pulled defeat from the jaws of victory in this one. Most everyone in between did their job, some did not.
  25. adambr2
It’s unsurprising to get very little production from the top of the order when you bat one of your worst hitters on top of the order.
