Final: Nashville 10, @Memphis 2 Sounds Hang 10 On Redbirds In Season FinaleNashville Sounds MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds ended the 2011 campaign with a 10-2 win over the cross-state rival Memphis Redbirds on Labor Day afternoon at AutoZone Park.Snapping a four-game losing streak with the victory, Nashville (71-72) finished the season with just the franchise's 12th losing record in 34 years of competition. Nashville starter Mike Fiers (8-0) ended the 2011 season with another great performance with the mound, not allowing an earned run in his last 19 innings of work over his last three starts. On the afternoon, Fiers gave up two unearned runs on two hits in five innings of work for the win. He struck out four and walked zero. In 10 starts for Nashville this season, Fiers went 8-0 with a 1.11 ERA (8er/62.2ip) and 65 strikeouts in 62 2/3 innings as a starter. Shortstop Anderson Machado and left fielder Jordan Brown each homered in the win. Right fielder Brandon Boggs singled to extend his hitting streak to a season-high six games. First baseman Erick Almonte went 3-for-5 with a double. Third baseman Mat Gamel had a hit in the ninth inning to snap out of a season-long 18-at-bat hitless streak. Nashville took a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning off Memphis starter Brian Broderick. After center fielder Caleb Gindl was issued a walk to open the contest, Brown tattooed his eighth home run of the season over the wall in right center. Memphis scored their first run in the next frame as center fielder Adron Chambers tripled to lead off the inning. Chambers would then come home on a fielding error on third baseman Gamel. The Sounds added two more runs for a 4-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning. Almonte hit a ground rule double down the right field line and was followed by Machado, who crushed a two-run shot on the third tier of the picnic deck in right field [audio]. The homer was Machado's first of the season. The Redbirds cut the lead in half in the next frame on another unearned run. With a runner on third base, Freddie Bynum hit an infield grounder to Gamel, who attempted to throw home, but hit the runner. The Sounds got another run back in the top of the sixth inning. Almonte singled and moved to third on a two-base throwing error during the next at-bat. Machado then drove in Almonte with RBI base hit to right field. Nashville exploded for five runs and batted around in the ninth inning to make it 10-2. Machado started the frame by walking and later scored as Gindl singled to right. Redbirds Reliever David Kopp then surrendered four consecutive base hits before being removed from the contest for reliever Rich Rundles. The scoring concluded with a sacrifice fly by second baseman Andy Gonzalez. Nashville pitchers Tim Dillard, Justin James, Sean Green, and Mike McClendon all worked a scoreless innings in relief. Broderick (7-7) took the loss with five runs allowed (four earned) on seven hits in seven innings. Baseball returns to Greer Stadium in April 2012 when the Sounds begin their 35th season of competition. Season tickets are available now by calling 615-690-HITS or visiting the Greer Stadium box office. Nashville box scoreAlso a nice way to end the season. Fiers threw only 78 pitches (57 strikes). I hope we see him in Milwaukee for a September cameo. Patrick Arlis got his second start of the year and went 1-4 with a double.Nashville play-by-play

Final: Wisconsin 11, @Beloit 0 Rattlers smash Snappers in season finaleChris Mehring/Wisconsin Timber Rattlers BELOIT, WI – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers defeated the Beloit Snappers 11-0 on Monday afternoon at Pohlman Field. Wisconsin (67-72 overall, 29-40 second half) had the first scoring opportunity of the game. Reggie Keen drew a leadoff walk and Joey Paciorek followed with a single in the top of the third. Both runners moved into scoring position on a grounder. But, the Rattlers could not cash in to take the lead. The Rattlers did cash in on their next chance. Chad Stang singled to start the fifth. Keen sacrificed Stang to second. A fly ball to left moved Stang to third. Then, Greg Hopkins came through with a two-out single to score Stang for a 1-0 lead. Then, Wisconsin broke out the bats in the seventh for their biggest inning of the season. Keen was at first with two outs and Hopkins scored him with a triple to right-center against Snappers reliever Ben Tootle. Nick Shaw made it 3-0 with an RBI double. Then, TJ Mittesltaedt drew a walk to keep the inning going. Cody Hawn was next and he would send Shaw in with an RBI single and the Rattlers weren’t done yet. Nick Ramirez greeted Beloit reliever Bart Carter with a two run double. Mike Walker drew a free pass and Stang would single to load the bases. Keen reached on an infield single to score one run and a throwing error on the play let in a second run. Paciorek capped the big inning with an infield single to knock in Stang for a 9-0 lead. In all, the Rattlers sent 13 men to the plate in the top of the seventh. They had nine straight batters reach base after there were two outs in the inning as they pulled away from Beloit. The Snappers (69-69, 31-37) here held to two hits by five Timber Rattlers Pitchers. Charly Bashara, Dan Britt, Casey Medlen, Alan Williams, and Greg Holle combined to strike out 13 Beloit hitters in the two-hit shutout. Wisconsin tacked on two more runs in the top of the ninth inning – both with two outs. Keen and Paciorek recorded consecutive RBI doubles to account for the final runs and an 11-0 lead. Final: @Memphis 5, Nashville 2 Skid Hits Four As Sounds Fall To Redbirds, 5-2Nashville Sounds MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds dropped their fourth straight contest on Sunday evening, falling 5-2 to the division-rival Memphis Redbirds at AutoZone Park. Nashville - which out-hit Memphis 8-4 in the contest - left nine on base on the night, finishing just 1-for-15 with runners in scoring position. Memphis took the night's first lead by plating an unearned run against Josh Butler in the bottom of the first inning. With one out, Tyler Greene reached on a fielding error by Sounds shortstop Edwin Maysonet, stole second, and came home to score on Nick Stavinoha's double down the left field line, the lone hit permitted by Nashville starter Josh Butler through the first five innings of play. After leaving a runner in scoring position in each of the first five innings, the Sounds finally broke through in the sixth against Memphis reliever Pete Parise. With one out, Brandon Boggs (2-for-4) legged out his second double of the night before scoring the tying run on Caleb Gindl's RBI two-bagger down the right field line, which chased Parise from the contest [audio]. Nashville missed a chance to take the lead when Gindl was caught stealing third just prior to Mike Rivera hammering a double off the center field wall. Memphis responded to the Sounds' score immediately, plating four runs off Butler in the home half of the sixth to reclaim the lead at 5-1. Adron Chambers and Greene opened the frame with consecutive singles before Stavinoha came through with his second run-scoring knock of the night, a two-run double to left. The two-bagger upped the slugger's Redbirds-record RBI total to 109 on the year. The inning continued as Memphis loaded the bases when Andrew Brown drew a walk and Bryan Anderson was hit by a Butler pitch. Freddie Bynum followed by drawing a five-pitch walk from the right-hander to force home Stavinoha for a 4-1 lead. The Redbirds plated their fourth run of the frame when Pete Kozma lifted a sacrifice fly to center. Nashville closed out the evening's scoring in the ninth with a single run against Memphis reliever Chuckie Fick. Gindl drew an inning-opening walk, stole second, moved to third on a Rivera flyout, and later scored on an Eric Farris fielder's choice groundout. Jess Todd (2-4) was awarded the victory for the Redbirds after working 1 2/3 scoreless frames of relief. Butler (9-8) took the loss for the Sounds after giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits over six innings of work. Nashville will look to avoid a series sweep when the Sounds and Redbirds wrap up the 2011 season with a 1:05 p.m. Labor Day finale on Monday. Right-hander Mike Fiers (7-0, 1.21) will man the bump for Nashville to face Memphis right-hander Brian Broderick (7-6, 5.04). Final: Brevard County 6, @Daytona 4 Brevard County box scoreThe Sea Cows scored three runs in the top of the 9th to steal the game. Manuel Ruiz tossed three shutout innings before faltering in the 4th and allowing three runs. Eric Marzec followed that up with three one-run innings; Marzec has posted a very good ERA since being assigned to the FSL but has only nine strikeouts in 20.1 innings. Given that it was the last game of the year and he hadn't played for over half a week, I thought D'Vontrey Richardson might be done for the year, especially after he didn't start the game, but he took over early for Kentrail Davis and gave us something to whet our appetites with over the offseason with a four-hit, two-double denouement. Wisconsin (66-72 overall, 28-40 second half) took the lead on an unearned run in the top of the second. Cody Hawn reached second on a dropped fly ball to left with one out. Brandon Macias followed with an RBI single. Later in the inning, the Rattlers had runners at the corners with one out. But, Macias was thrown out at the plate trying to score from third on a foul pop to shallow right. The Rattlers offense did not threaten Beloit (69-68, 31-36) charged back to take the lead in the bottom of the second inning. Michael Gonzales started the inning with a double. A one out single by Tyler Grimes tied the game as Gonzales scored. The Snappers went in front on an RBI grounder by Andrew Lee. Beloit scored their final run of the inning on a double steal. With the loss, Nashville (70-72) has dropped three games in a row and eight of its last 12 contests. Nashville was held to seven hits overall and went 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Right fielder Brandon Boggs doubled twice while shortstop Eric Farris added two hits and a stolen base. The Redbirds took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh thanks to two Farris throwing errors at shortstop. Reliever Tim Dillard issued a one-out walk to Freddie Bynum and allowed a single to the rehabbing Nick Punto to start the rally. Nick Stavinoha then hit an infield grounder to Farris, who committed his first error of the frame that allowed Bynum to score. Later in the inning with the bases loaded and two outs, Matt Carpenter hit an inning-ending grounder to shortstop, but Farris tossed wide of the bag again that let Punto score another unearned run. Next batter Andrew Brown concluded the scoring with a two-run single to left field. Dillard (4-2) was charged for four runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks in two innings in relief. Justin James pitched a perfect inning in his first game since re-joining the club from Double-A Huntsville. Final: @Burlington 7, Wisconsin 2 Burlington sweeps RattlersBy Chris Mehring / Wisconsin Timber Rattlers BURLINGTON, IA - The Burlington Bees completed a three-game sweep of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers with a 7-2 win Friday night at Community Field. Wade Kirkland drove in three runs for the Bees and helped to erase an early Rattlers advantage. The Rattlers (66-71 overall, 28-39 second half) threatened to score first. In the second inning, Nick Ramirez singled and Brandon Macias was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second with no outs. But, both runners were stranded at the end of the inning. Burlington (75-61, 30-36) broke the ice in the bottom of the second inning. Douglas Landaeta doubled to right and went to third on a grounder to the right side of the infield. Kirkland's flyball to center was dropped and Landaeta scored for a 1-0 lead. TJ Mittelstaedt tied the game with a solo homer to center in the top of the third inning. The homer was the twelfth of the season for Mittelstaedt. Wisconsin grabbed the lead in the top of the fourth inning with a two out rally. Rafael Neda singled with two outs and took second on a wild pitch. Neda reached third when Greg Hopkins had his grounder to short booted for an error. Neda score the go ahead run after Blake Hassebrock threw wildly to first on a pickoff attempt. Rattlers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson kept the Bees handcuffed through the first 5-2/3 innings. But, he ran into trouble with two outs and none on in the sixth. AJ Kirby-Jones singled to center. A blooper off the bat of Landaeta dropped in just fair down the line in right to put runners at the corners. Ryan Pineda worked the count full and laced a doubled to left-center to score two runs and give Burlington a 3-2 lead. Then, Kirkland doubled to left to send Pineda home for a 4-2 lead. Nelson left the game after the double by Pineda. He worked 5-2/3 innings, allowed four runs on six hits, walked three, and struck out five. The Rattlers offense could not do much after they took the lead. They managed one hit over the final five innings against Hassebrock and three Burlington relievers. Final: @Memphis 7, Nashville 5 Sounds Drop Series Opener In Memphis, 7-5Nashville Sounds MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds lost the opener of the final series of the 2011 season on Friday evening at AutoZone Park, falling 7-5 to the division-rival Memphis Redbirds. Left fielder Jordan Brown (2-for-5) gave the Sounds a 1-0 lead in the top of the inning when he belted his seventh home run of the season, a two-out solo shot to right off Memphis starter Michael Blazek. After Memphis pulled ahead, 3-1, with three second-inning runs against Sounds starter Sam Narron, Nashville rallied to tie the contest with single runs in the third and fifth frames. Brown recorded his second run-scoring hit of the night in the third when his two-out single to center brought home Edwin Maysonet. Eric Farris evened the game at 3-3 in the fifth with a one-out single to center off Blazek which plated Maysonet for his second run scored on the night. The Redbirds pulled back in front by a 7-3 count in the home half of the fifth, using back-to-back, two-out homers off Narron to do the damage. After a pair of runners drew walks from the left-hander in the frame, Matt Carpenter slugged a go-ahead, three-run homer to right and Andrew Brown followed with a solo shot to left. The roundtrippers were the players' 12th and 20th of the season, respectively. Nashville closed the deficit to two runs at 7-5 by getting back single runs in the sixth and eighth frames. Both scores came courtesy of Maysonet sacrifice flies. Blazek (2-0) picked up the win for Memphis and allowing four runs on four hits while walking five batters over six innings of action. Rich Rundles worked a 1-2-3 ninth for the Redbirds to notch his first save of the year. Narron (6-7) was saddled with the loss after giving up seven runs (five earned) on six hits over five frames of work. The teams continue the series with a 6:05 p.m. contest on Saturday. Right-hander Amaury Rivas (7-12, 4.88) makes his final start of the year for the Sounds. Memphis will counter with right-hander Adam Ottavino (6-8, 5.04). Nashville box scoreCaleb Gindl was 0-4 with a walk. Mat Gamel was 0-4 and committed a fielding error at first base. Nashville play-by-play

Final: @Burlington 6, Wisconsin 3 Bees get all they need in the fourth inningChris Mehring/Wisconsin Timber Rattlers BURLINGTON, IA – The Burlington got all of their runs and all of their hits in one inning on Thursday night at Community Field. The offensive outburst was enough to defeat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 6-3. Burlington (74-62 overall, 29-36 second half) busted the scoreless game wide open in the fourth inning by scoring six runs on four hits. The frame started with Royce Consigli reaching on an error. A walk to Josh Whitaker followed to put two runners on base for Burlington. AJ Kirby-Jones cracked the first pitch of his at bat off the top of the wall in left-center for a two-run double for a 2-0 lead. That was the first hit of the game for the Bees off Rattlers starting pitcher Del Howell. Douglas Landaeta followed with a single that put runners on the corners. Wade Kirkland was next and he cracked an RBI single. John Nester continued the scoring in the inning with another two-run double to put the Bees up 5-0. Later in the inning, Nester scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyreace House to cap the scoring and give the Bees a 6-0 lead. Burlington starting pitcher Jonathan Joseph ran into a jam in the sixth inning as the Rattlers (66-70, 28-38) loaded the bases with two outs in the sixth, but a strikeout got him out of the frame. Joseph would not escape the seventh inning. Brandon Macias doubled and would score on a single by Reggie Keen. Then, Keen made a little history. The Rattlers centerfielder stole second to record his fortieth steal of the season. Keen is just the fifth Timber Rattlers player in franchise history to steal 40 or more bases in a single season. The next two batters reached in the frame to load the bases against Joseph again. Max Peterson came out of the bullpen and gave up a sacrifice fly to Nick Shaw that sent Keen home. Peterson would retire the next two batters to keep the score 6-2. Jason Rogers greeted reliever Sean Murphy with a home run to left-center to lead off the eighth inning. The sixth homer of the year for Rogers cut the lead to 6-3. But, that was as close as the Rattlers would get on the evening. The loss was the fourth straight for the Rattlers. The current losing streak started when Wisconsin had a four game winning streak snapped on August 29. The third and final game of the series at Community Field is Friday night at 6:35pm. Pitcher Jimmy Nelson (8-8, 4.30) is scheduled to make his final start of the season for the Timber Rattlers. Blake Hassebrock (7-8, 2.67) is set to start for the Bees. Tune in for the broadcast on AM1280, WNAM or timberrattlers.com starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 6:15pm. Final: @Huntsville 7, Mobile 6 Huntsville box scoreWell, Chase Wright is unsurprisingly still bad at baseball, but the relief corps was excellent, tossing five perfect innings with five strikeouts; Jim Henderson did the brunt of the work, going three frames with four whiffs. Santo Manzanillo tallied the other punchout and his seventh save. Zelous Wheeler had a big day, 3-3 with his eighth homer, four RBI, and a walk. Sean Halton also had three hits, including a double, and Lee Haydel added two and another two-bagger. Steffan Wilson also went deep, and Hainley Statia singled and drew two free passes. Final: Brevard County 5, @Daytona 2 Brevard County box scoreNice start by Hiram Burgos, and Jon Pokorny fanned three in two innings, though he also allowed three hits and a run. Chuckie Caufield and Scott Krieger both went deep, and Scooter Gennett and Brent Dean each added a double. No D'Vontrey Richardson absent for the second straight day and third straight game. Kentrail Davis was 0-4, dropping his average to .243; he's not hitting for average, he's not hitting for power, and he's not drawing walks--well, at least with D'Vo out, he played center field... Final: @Burlington 4, Wisconsin 1 Burlington beats WisconsinChris Mehring/Wisconsin Timber Rattlers BURLINGTON, IA – The Burlington Bees tuned up for the playoffs by defeating the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 4-1 on Wednesday night at Community Field. Bees starting pitcher Jose Macias struck out six over seven shutout innings and rode an early three run outburst to his eighth win of the season. The Bees (7361 overall, 28-36) got on the board first with three runs in the second inning. Consecutive singles by AJ Kirby-Jones and Douglas Landaeta out runners at the corners to start the frame. Beau Taylor grounded into a force play at second that got Kirby-Jones home. Taylor was at second with two outs and Wade Kirkland singled to left. The throw home by Jason Rogers was a bit off line, but Rattlers catcher Rafael Neda acted as if he had tagged Taylor at the plate for the third out. But, Taylor was ruled safe for a 2-0 lead. On that scoring play, Kirkland had moved up to second base. He would score the third run of the inning on a single by Tyreace House. Burlington, a team headed to the Midwest League playoffs based on winning the first half Western Division Championship, added a run in the third inning. Kirby Jones grounded out to short to drive in a run from third base to make it 4-0 Bees. The Rattlers (66-69, 28-37) were held to two hits by Burlington starter Jose Macias through seven innings. No Rattlers runner made it past second base with Macias in the game. TJ Mittelstaedt cracked a one-out homer in the top of the ninth off Bees reliever TJ Walz to help the Rattlers avoid the shutout. Mittelstaedt, who also had a single in the first inning, had two of Wisconsin’s three hits. He also walked and stole a base. But, it wasn’t enough for Wisconsin as they dropped their third straight game. Game two of the series is Thursday night at Community Field. Del Howell (3-8, 5.63) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Jonathan Joseph (5-4, 5.88) is scheduled to start for the Bees. Game time is 6:30pm. Final: Nashville 1, @Iowa 0 Mike Fiers Hurls Three-Hit Shutout At IowaNashville Sounds DES MOINES, Iowa - Right-hander Mike Fiers was nearly flawless on Wednesday evening, allowing only four baserunners in a complete-game, three-hit shutout to lead the Sounds to a 1-0 victory over the division-rival Iowa Cubs at Principal Park. With the gem, Fiers continued his dominance of the Pacific Coast League, improving to 7-0 with a 1.25 ERA (8er/57.2ip) in his nine starts for the Sounds this season. He allowed only three hits (two singles and a double) while issuing one walk and striking out nine batters in Nashville's sixth shutout victory of the year. Fiers was very efficient, throwing only 99 pitches on the evening (74 strikes) and retired 24 of his 28 batters faced. It marked the first complete-game shutout by a Nashville hurler since Chase Wright's one-hitter against Memphis on June 17, 2010 at Greer Stadium. In his last 17 combined starts between Nashville and Double-A Huntsville, Fiers is a spectacular 10-2 with a 1.50 ERA (17er/102.1ip), allowing opponents to hit only .170 against him over that stretch (62-for-364). Nashville batters struggled against Iowa pitching all evening, registering only one run while striking out 15 times against a pair of Cubs hurlers. The Sounds plated the only run they needed with a two-out rally in the top of the fifth against Cubs starter Jay Jackson. After the first two hitters of the frame were retired, Edwin Maysonet singled to right and came around to score when Jordan Brown (2-for-4) followed with an RBI double to right-center. Iowa put the potential tying run on base in the ninth against Fiers when Lou Montanez singled with on a two-strike, two-out pitch, but Fiers struck out Brad Snyder to end the contest and close out the shutout. Jackson (7-14) suffered his PCL-leading 14th loss of the year after allowing the one run on seven hits in six innings, fanning 11 during his quality-start effort. Logan Schafer and Erick Almonte added 2-for-4 efforts for Nashville. The teams wrap up the series with a 6:35 p.m. finale on Thursday. Right-hander Wily Peralta (2-0, 2.16) will man the bump for Nashville to face Iowa right-hander Austin Bibens-Dirkx (4-5, 6.43). Nashville box scoreI hope the Brewers add Fiers to the 40-man roster and call him up for some bullpen work; he deserves it after a phenomenal season. 75% strikes! It's always nice when the opposing starter strikes out 11 and isn't the best guy out there. One of Schafer's hits was a triple. Mat Gamel doubled once in four trips, and Caleb Gindl was 0-3 with three strikeouts, though he did draw a walk. Nashville play-by-play -

Final: @Nashville 6, Memphis 3 Sounds Plate Three Late Runs, Defeat Memphis 6-3Nashville Sounds NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a late tie and post a 6-3 victory over the division-rival Memphis Redbirds on Saturday evening in front of 8,827 fans at Greer Stadium. With the score knotted at 3-3, Nashville batted around against Redbirds reliever Jess Todd to register the game-winning three-run outburst. Eric Farris led off the Sounds' eighth with a single and moved to second on Mat Gamel's opposite-field single through the left side of the infield. With one out, Caleb Gindl ripped a line-drive single to center to plate Farris with the go-ahead run. After an intentional walk was issued to Brandon Boggs to load the bases, pinch-hitter Andy Gonzalez gave the Sounds some breathing room with a two-run single to left that extended the lead to three. Memphis didn't go down without a fight in the ninth, drawing a pair of walks against Sounds reliever Sean Green to bring the potential tying run to the plate with one out. Don Money summoned Daniel Herrera from the bullpen and the left-hander struck out Pete Kozma before inducing a game-ending, warning-track fly ball to left from pinch-hitter Tony Cruz to secure his second save of the year. Randy Flores (2-3) worked a scoreless frame of relief for Nashville to earn the win, while Todd (1-4) was saddled with the loss after surrendering three runs in his 1 1/3 innings for Memphis. The Sounds took a 1-0 lead in the second when Erick Almonte and Gamel led off the frame with back-to-back doubles off Memphis starter Nick Additon. Memphis responded with a pair of runs in the top of the third inning against Wily Peralta to claim a 2-1 advantage. The Redbirds loaded the bases with no outs on singles by Shane Robinson and Tyler Greene followed by a walk drawn by Nick Stavinoha. After a strikeout, Peralta issued a five-pitch walk to Matt Carpenter to force home Robinson with the tying run. Andrew Brown put the visitors ahead by floating a bloop RBI single to shallow left-center. The Nashville right-hander escaped further damage in the frame by striking out Bryan Anderson and Freddie Bynum in succession to leave the bases full of Redbirds. Peralta allowed two runs on four hits over five innings and took a no-decision in his fourth Triple-A start. Only eight of the 25 batters he faced put the ball in play as he walked a Sounds season-high seven batters, struck out nine, and hit one batter. Peralta threw only 58 of his 106 pitches for strikes on the evening. Nashville evened the contest again at 2-2 in the bottom of the third. Logan Schafer doubled with one out and scored on Edwin Maysonet's hit-and-run single to left. Neither team scored again until the seventh when the Redbirds pulled ahead, 3-2, with a run against Sounds reliever Daniel Meadows. Stavinoha led off with a double to left-center, moved to third on a Mark Hamilton singled, and plated the go-ahead run on an Anderson groundout. The Sounds responded immediately and tied the game in the home half of the frame with an unearned run, making it a 3-3 contest. After Gindl led off with a double to right to chase Additon from the contest, Boggs dropped a sacrifice bunt up the third-base line. Memphis reliever Pete Parise misfired wide of first to allow Gindl to score and Boggs to advance to second. Boggs moved up to third on a Meadows sacrifice but was tagged out at the plate as he attempted to score on Schafer's safety squeeze bunt attempt. The Sounds wrap up their 2011 home slate on Sunday evening when they host the Redbirds in the 6:35 p.m. finale of a five-game series. Left-hander Sam Narron (6-6, 4.89) will make the start for Nashville to face Memphis right-hander Brandon Dickson (8-9, 3.73). Nashville box scoreWeird line from Peralta. The strikeouts are nice, but the sin of walking seven men in five innings probably outweighs the goodness of fanning nine in those same five frames. On the plus side, it's about as good as you can be when walking seven, so there's that. Martin Maldonado, the only starting position player not mentioned above, was 1-3 with a sac bunt. Taylor Green didn't have a single hit, but he was chewing sunflower seeds in Milwaukee, so we'll forgive him. Nashville play-by-play
