    Amazing...I wasn't sure but the Crew lost to the Cubs last night and low and behold the sun still did rise. That along with the fact that Russ started this thread is all the karma I need. Go Crew, even the series out, remember the Crew still leads the season series and these are two somewhat evenly matched teams. That is all.

    After yesterday's induced buzzkill, I need a little something to pick me up, but like fondybrewfan said, I am oblivious to winning the division as long as we are still in the playoffs/wild card lead. It will all work itself out eventually. I don't want everyone to get too worked up over something happening in late July. Too much time left...I know it's the Cubs, but still need to keep everything in perspective.

    If ever there was a doubt at how American the Brewers are one only needs to see the Ben Sheets Olympian Photo, and that cements that the Brewers are indeed a patriotic team of destiny.

For some reason I seem to remember hearing that they were friends from somewhere but I can't honestly say where I heard it or what it was all about.

    If we lose this series something is seriously wrong...We face JDLR tomorrow and we have faced some pretty ballooned ERA's in this series. All bets were we had by far the better chance of winning each when considered individually. A loss tomorrow would be awfully embarrassing.

    Stupid question as I don't know a whole lot about the A's situation, but why would you be willing to deal a starter when you are going to be making a push for the playoffs? I mean they are only 3.5 games out of the wildcard.

    Although I am not the biggest fan of the CC trade, just watching the Brewers #2 pitcher get worked can really change someone's mind.
