  1. Wow, what a terrible lineup. I imagine Bush will leave with a one run lead in the 7th, then Ned will promptly bring in a Gagne, Mota combo for us.
  2. Due to my lack of knowledge compared to most posters here I don't post often, but when I do.....They are REALLY hard to read. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Count me in if possible.
  3. I am in the process of opening up a massive e-store. I will need someone soon to develop my site from the ground up. It will be a fragrance site with well over 7500 different fragrance types. I currently sell on Ebay and have a solid customer base between my 3 accounts. But with the prices rising, I am looking to make my own site. If anyone is interested in more info mail me on this site.
  4. Anyone else besides me collect these games here? I have a vast collection of 400+ games from the original Nintendo, alot with duplicates in sealed boxes. I collect everything from Atari to NES, to Sega all the way up to Dreamcast. I don't do to much from the playstation forward as I think the mass production kills the fun. I am always looking to buy more if anyone has any, shoot me a email. If anyone collects like myself, what is your favorite system ever? I think I have to say the Turbo Grafx 16. Not only because the graphics were so far ahead of their time, but because the games were simply amazing.
  5. From Rosenthals Article. Id do a JJ for Cain trade all day and twice on Sundays. Imagine that rotation....
  6. Does this make the 2008 Brewers team, the best Brewers team EVER? Im serious.
  7. If it is a confirmed paypal address, your fine and dont have to issue a refund at all. If its not and his ebay is different, you may have problems if you dont refund him. Id try what the others said and see if you can contact the ticket office and work something out before the game. Otherwise, like I said it will probably have to be refunded or you may face a suspension of your ebay account.
  8. This is absurd, I would have to think a combo of LaPorta or Gamel, Green and {insert 3rd prospect here} could net us far more than Sabathia for half a year. I say screw them if they want more, Im with the others that say go after Cain or Grienke. Id much prefer either over a half a year of CC. And to be honest, I think a deal like that would have to be close to getting it done for the Royals or Giants.
  9. Let me say in the 3 past seasons I came up with these numbers.... 130+ ERA 3.42 ERA 1.182 WHIP I could be wrong as I did it by hand..... Please compare that to Johan Santana.... 142 + 3.03 1.097 While Santana does have him beat, its not by a HUGE margin. And I think most would agree here that Santana is arguably the best pitcher in the game the past 3 seasons.
  10. RU RU, I understand your point, but I think if you look at the last 3 years, that IMO would be more indicative of what we would be getting. So if you want, compare his last 3 years to anyones and tell me were he stacks up then.
  11. What would he bring to us in a trade? I am not advocating trading him at all, but was just wondering if it would be better to trade him or take the picks? (Assuming he doesnt sign at the end of the year)
  12. Anyone have a value on what something like this might be worth? I have the day aftr the Quake Journal. Robin Younts 3,000 hit paper from the next day and the paper containing the special 3,000 hit section. Sentinel.
  13. Dillard looked darn good tonight. Did he throw anything outside of fastballs? Im not a "huge" minor league guy, so what are his secondary pitches and how does he control them? If I recall correctly, his stats showed he has a tendancy to walk batters a little more than I would like. Again I just got a glimpse and don't recall what the stats were, but that was my thinking. He seems to have good control of that 95 mph fastball though, nice to see. Also his delivery is a little wierd IMO.
  14. Shouse or Gwynn?? Hmmmm......I might take Shouse in that case. I understand the last batter thing, if it wasnt our most consistent hitter. Taking Hart out and putting Gwynn in when we are behind is just dumb, regardless of the situation. Ill take Hart with one arm hitting before I take Gwynn. And like the early part of this post says, I may just take Shouse over Gwynn as well.
  15. Did anyone else hear this, I just hear a blip on it on 620, but maybe there was something I missed.... Edit: Title update. - Toby
  16. Shelmark, thats 11th in all of baseball.
  17. Im going to take a quick nap, when I come back I fully expect to hear some good news....You know the kind were we trade Hall for Kazmir, Gwynn for Cain and Fielder for Webb. Or we fired Yost, I prefer the 1st one, but the latter works as well.
  18. As bad as Weeks average is, he is 11th in runs scored and is posting a obp 130 pts higher than his avg. I still hate seeing him in the 1 hole.
  19. I have a source in Atlanta saying Yost was seen at a local liquor store with a 40 of Old English..... Dun dun...dun dun...dun dun dun..... Sorry had to.
  20. Homer - I would like to think our local journalists would not stoop so low as to use a blogger for a serious story like that. To me, thats no different than quoting someone in the Doug Melvin thread on this site.... "Homer, a frequent poster on Brewerfan.net says that he has sources that Doug Melvin will be fired today" ...... Your sources btw are 2 parrots next to you saying "Fire Doug, Fire Doug, Polly want a cracker." Its not a fact, and his blog may be for discussion, but give me one good reason he had to bring that blog up? He couldve simply stated that he believes its a possibility that Yost may be gone today after hearing Brauns comments. There was no need to quote a internet blog.
  21. Grrrr, I wish this day would either end or give confirmation on something.
  22. I got a kick out of this post on the JS blog site. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. The thing I don't get is why TH would even post this if he himself didn't know SOMETHING. If I was a writer for a large newspaper I wouldnt post random blogs like this for the simple fact it diminishes his credibility.
  24. I think the main reason I posted this is because I was thinking the same as some previous posters mentioned. Why would TH post this unless he has some info and wants to deflect the story elsewere if things change (Kremblas instead of Simmons or changing of minds)?
