Sorry I posted that link in the "Brewers News" thread because of the fact is was a generic thread and could relate to any Brewers news. I know how picky new threads can be sometimes and quite frankly, I wasnt sure if it was posted elsewere.
This may of been posted.....its a bit older... In the link above they mention some of the prospects being mentioned with Carl Crawford and then they go on to mention the Devil Rays may be dangling Young and I would trade Gallardo and more to land him.....If a top pitching prospect is all it takes to get CC then I hope DM is at least exploring that option and trying to get something done, hopefull something not involving Yo or Inman. Eveland, ZJ, and Rogers are all pretty good prospects and should be able to get a good return if we do go that route.
Switching careers.....Ive been a tool and die maker for 10 years and quite frankly hate it....But I cant get into something else that would be more interesting that would come remotedly close to the pay I get now...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
Ummmm, no thanks...Give me Braun. I think Braun could put up Cuddyer type numbers and beyond at 3b which is a more "desired" position. Even if Braun doesnt pan out at 3rd, he can go to the OF and still put up those numbers.Think young Chipper Jones.
I recently got a 2nd shift job and may not be able to play in the games, unless I can convince them to let me work 1st on Thursdays. If I cant play in the games, I would still like to go to the practices with you guys if thats ok.
His 98' campaign is out of this world. 0.30 ERA with 165 innings pitched, thats incredilbe at any level. Definately could be the next Turnbow type nugget. Ignore, its 3.00, not .3 My fault.

Last game of the season, awww shucks, we can now move onto the one offseason that means a ton for this franchise. Lets see how we take another step forward or if we bungle it and take on back, I have faith in DM though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Good point Scoop, so what are the outcomes if we do come in a 3 way tie at say 85 wins. What are the tie breaker procedures and etc? For the sake of arguement ill use Florida, Astros and Us as the 3 teams with 85 wins.
If we finish with a winning record, I think sales will go up astronomically next year for season tickets and total attendance. Especially if we get a top flight pitcher (Burnett, Morris, Millwood). We have a 1st basemen in the wings that will come close to if not doing better than Overbay this year in the Prince. Plus we have Overbay we can use for trade bait as well as Ohka, possibly Clark and Hall as well. That should net us some nice returns in the process. Not to mention we will hopefully have Weeks and Hardy be more consistent and better hitters next year. If we can somehow minimize the streakiness of Lee and Jenkins then I say we will have a helluva offense next year. Projecting current players it seems pretty potent already...... Clark Hardy Weeks Fielder Lee Jenkins Hall Miller Pitcher Rough order, you can certainly have many options of how this could be laid out.
