  1. Buster Olney just wrote a piece on ESPN insider about whether Ryan Braun should get MVP votes this year. I don't have insider so I couldn't read it all but that is about the extent of the national coverage on Braun that I've seen so far. Maybe someone with insider could give a brief summary. I think a lot of writers wish they would write the "see Braun sucks now he was definately using" story and I think Olney is one of them.
  2. I think Luc's job is safe, but Kottaras should be let go or traded as soon as Luc is healthy. Kottaras has been ice cold lately and his defense isn't good enough to justify a keeping him over Maldonado.
  3. Nice camera work. I was wondering what the 3rd base umpire was doing after Maldonado dropped strike 3.
  4. Maybe we can trade a couple of bullpen arms to them mid-game? Nah, if we traded them someone like Dillard he would probably shut us down.
  5. I'm trying to figure out what exactly Gomez does that impresses Roenicke so much.
  6. The only reasons to even watch this team right now is Braun and Greinke and I feel like in a few weeks it will be just down to Braun. I can't decides whats more frustrating, the complete lack of fundimentals this team shows, the poor decisions made by our manager, or the complete regression by many of the players this year. Either way they all reflect poorly on Roenicke and Co.
  7. It's like Gomez actively tries to get himself out on the base-paths.
  8. This is from ESPN's boxscore of the game: BREWERS MANAGER NED YOST WAS EJECTED BY HOME PLATE UMPIRE DAN IASSOGNA IN THE TOP OF THE FOURTH INNING FOR ARGUING A FOUL BUNT CALL.
  9. I alsoblame Melvin for the current bullpen woes more than Roenicke. Well him and the fact K-Rod and Axford basically forgot how to pitch. I just came here to echo the fact that there was no reason to pull Para, our only long man in the bullpen, with lefties coming up and not having to even deal with the pitcher's spot in the line up. Additionally, using Conrad as the first pinch hitter today with men on base made me want to scream at the tv. It's like Ron thinks that Conrad is so overdue for a hit that he will get one if he keeps using him enough.
  10. With they way the every awful pitcher has stifled our bats and how bad our pitching has been outside a few, I think it might be time to can Narron or Kranitz or both.
  11. Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. When one of the Crew's "stud" bull pen arm's isn't blowing the game, the other is.
  12. Is he over-throwing? You would think that is something his pitching coach would be able to catch.
  13. I don't think anyone is blaming RR on this matter... Oh I know, but the situation itself is just maddening. Nothing he can do will fix it besides them pitching better.
  14. Seriously, what does Roenicke even do? Shake up the bullpen? There is no doubt the best two pitchers talent wise are K-Rod and Ax. He is in a no-win situation.
  15. And again Conrad with his robust batting average is one of the first used off the bench....
  16. I'm trying to think of a good comparison for what it is like to see Gomez and Braun bat back to back. So far all I can think of is going to an art gallery and the first thing you see is a stick-figure drawing and the next thing you see is the Mona Lisa.
  17. They probably wouldn't have sent the runner if he hadn't misplayed it.
  18. And Brooks Conrad continues to prove he does not belong on the roster.
  19. I can't remember the last time a Brewer closer was pulled in the middle of the 9th. Not sure why Ax was even in there to begin with when there was a 4 run lead.
