I agree DWBiTM, I wouldn't care if Davis goes 0-0 next year, as long as all 30+ starts end in Brewer wins.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif Since we haven't done this at all this year, let's win this one 1-0. Maybe have Doug hit a HR for the only run!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Then see the Bow blow them away. I'll be there by the second inning, my normal RF bleacher seat. Here's hoping to a 1-2-3 inning so I don't miss anything.
I don't know what's worse, the on/off offense or an offense that would garantee you 3 runs, but also garantee that you wouldn't score more than 6. I'll take these on days, I just wish the on days were the televised games/home games.
Does that mean 20,000-30,000, or 20,000-21,000, or 20,000-25,000. Sorry, but there's a big difference between 19,980 and 29,876 and both could be counted under the 20,000 something.
You don't put Wise in becuase Davis showed no reason to have himself pulled. And with Sheeter gone, Davis has to be the guy who steps up and eats innings. Otherwise we'll be seeing a lot of Santos relief stints.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
Errrr, Eric Young and Mark Loretta working together to score on the Brewers. Maybe it's the fact that I'm trying to block out those years, but I don't remember them doing that when they were with us.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
Also, see Ben Hendrickson in multiple starts last year. Although I don't think Obie is a starter, I won't blame Saturday night on him. We only scored one run in a game that our first three batters reached base. Not saying per se he should start again, but I won't blame him. As long as we aren't scoring runs, we might as well put a fan out on the mound. That would be an interesting promotion. Only if there is an age restriction is there a per person limit. If it's for anyone with a ticket, then every ticket gets a bobblehead. My mom ended up coming down with something and didn't go, but my dad used the spare ticket to get her a bobblehead. It might also have to do with which usher you ask. Some of the ushers are really awesome, some are downright jerks.
Yeah, I know Lee should be 4, but then you'd have four guys in a row that are righties. I think Yost's head would explode before he did that.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif . Just an idea to get more people up before Lee, but you want Lee to bat lots of times. It's great to actually have this discusion, though. At the beginning of the year, Jenks was cold and Overbay was hot, and Yost put them 3rd and 5th. Now it's switched. Shouldn't your better (read: hot) hitter be in the 3rd hole? People might pitch around Lee, but with the hotter bat in front of him, he might come up with more men on base.
Hey, JJ is supposed to be a good #2 hitter, and Weeks should be a good #3 hitter, what do you guys think of a lineup like this: Clark JJ Weeks Jenks Lee Overbay Hall Miller Ober It's kind of wierd to be saying we have "too many" guys who can hit at the top of the order. Usually we have too many that should hit 8. That near home run made me think of it.
I'm still going to the game. I don't get out of work until 7pm everyday. These 6:05 start times kill me. [edit]: Oh yeah, my friend was going to the Badger game today, and then rushing back to the Brewer game late and really drunk (except for the DD). Hopefully a lot more show up. Also, lots of people probably bought extra tickets to get more than one bobble head. The guy that sits behind me usually gets around a dozen bobble heads to give out as gifts.
Friday night, at the game, they said that the next broadcast wasn't going to happen until Tuesday. I was surprised you said it was being broadcast tonight.
Makes me think someone will win 2-0 on two un-earned runs, both pitchers will still be pitching in the seventh, and there will be a combined 22 strike-outs between both teams. I hope it's another blow out for us. It was pretty fun last night.
Moeller didn't bunt, becuase to ask him to do so would risk hurting his feelings. It is better to lose today and have happy players win another day, than win today and risk losing another day. Because unhappy players never win games.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
I looked at his spray chart. He has more flyball outs to right than left in MP, but no doubles to right. Seems to me it's smart to try to pull the ball.
BJ15, that was great. Everyone at work was giving me an odd look for laughing so loud. Meaning: He'll get at least two hits and drive in 3-4 of the first 5-6 Cardinal runs. I work until 7, but I'll be in my seat by the second inning. I'm wearing my white buckethead brigade shirt. If they see me, not only will I get on TV, they'll probably talk about me for several innings and send that Brainard dude out to talk to me. I'll tell him wear to go. The Brewer's really need this win, and I want them to, but I fear we'll find a stupid reason to lose (throw to the wrong base, get picked off, etc.). Come on Crew, prove me wrong.
That's why I'm a super baseball nerd. I'll have the TV going (with DVR running so I can watch my own replays), Bob and Jim doing audio, and following all the stats on GameDay. Then I'll check in here to follow the reaction. When I'm feeling really bored, I'll also score along at home. Not having the games on TV for replays makes me mad. Either FSN needs to pick up all 81 road game or we need to start a BES(t) network. Edit to stay on topic: Here's to getting above .500 tonight! Let's "get r dun".
