  1. Night games at 8:30? great site!
  2. I'll score tomorow's game at The Keg and I'll try to remember to bring it on Sunday. Then you can see how I do it.
  3. Put my K's and E's up. I don't care. But remember, sometimes those hard hit balls that bounce off gloves are called "hits". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I can't make the chat. I'm more of a slap hitter who has hit anywhere from 2nd-7th except 4th. I'll put up my career stats in a little bit. Edit: Wow, I was just kidding about those errors. I count everything I lay a glove on as an error if it's not converted (except diving plays or slow choppers with really fast runners, etc). Career Stats *The Packy's leagues are with an outseam ball that results in slower hit balls and less hits. The Fall League is at Czijon with our rules. Also, I really realy want to play infield. I can handle outfield, but I'll run myself out of breath and will be very station to station on the bases. I may make this Sunday's practice, but I would have to leave after about an hour.
  4. The grass will slow down the ball a bit, but there is a lip between the grass and the dirt, causing the ball to hop up. I've seen rollers bounce ten feet over the fielders head. But overall, the grass is nicer. Unless it hits that lip the bounces are more predictable than on hard dirt infields. We're at the North field? Hmm, that was always the girl's field in the fall. Not sure how far away it is from that home.
  5. The Prince! I remember why we let Glendon go.
  6. Keep talking abou this lack of Hr's!
  7. In left field there is a fence for the tennis courts. There is a sign that reads 305 at the fence, and it runs in a straight line and gets deep very fast. It barely makes it into LC. Very, very few balls reach the fence. Although I once had a teammate hit the ball into the tennis court area. I estimate it was about 320. The ball was crushed. Also, the outfield is very uneven. Anyone playing outfield needs to watch themselves to prevent getting hurt. Also, the balls take very, very ackward hops. I've seen them bounce 90 degrees away from the way it was hit. Make sure Ofers are backing each other up.
  8. I will be willing to help finish off the food after the game. It will be just me there. Thank you in advance Nicole.
  9. Just got back from the game. I scored myself seats 3 rows behind the part of the bench that all the players run into from off of the field. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif Sweet game. The Jenkins homerun would have been out last year. I know this will be abused all year. The part of the the picnic area towards center field was moved in around 10 feet, however the pole was not moved. It is still 345 feet away. The other difference is that the fence is now 8' tall, while it was only 6' tall last year. The ball Jenks hit would have actually cleared more of the fence last year due to the difference in height. 11,000 last night, 16,000 tonight. I'm going with 17,000 tomorow. Great day for old people and school trips at the ballpark, plus the people playing hookie to see Sheets go for a sweep. Being right next to first base, I felt my stomach sink when I saw Lee take off. Talk about stealing on a pitcher. Go Brew Crew
  10. It was for all the people that think they were making up the knee injury. If they wanted to switch their pitching order, they would just come out and say it. I meant it to show that he really does have some kind of knee problem.
  11. I don't understand why he had to have a "knee problem". Why not just come out and say, "Hey, we got this other guy that's pretty good against the Brewers. We're going to pitch him."? He was out at first, yet Schroeder's siting there saying it's too close to call.
  12. Are we allowed to do that? In the fall league, I was pretty sure we can only have 10 batters in the lineup and had to swap positions and batting order like little league rules.
  13. Pretty much every team goes witht the four of-ers straight across (LF-LC-RC-RF). There are many guys like me that are gap hitters that will absolutely burn you if you bring one of them in. We're better off in my opinion to let some of those singles drop in front of us than risk the hr over the short OF-er. I'd like to get a regular position in the IF. My Monday league starts in two days, so I'll be plenty warmed up for May 11th. I'll probably be playing 9 innings every game at thrid for the team. I think Brian's idea has merrit. Most teams assume the 3-6 guys can kill pitches and play farther back than the 7-10 hiters. If we keep it mixed up they will either give up HRs or play back for most people letting more of those singles fall.
  14. Can't seem to find the orginal thread. What day is our first game again?
  15. To be fair, I get upset with the crowd at The Keg because they do the same thing. Maybe it just doesn't sound as well on TV. Strawboss, that conversation was great. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif You the man. Brewers win! Brewers win!
  16. Not really. He does have some speed, and the SS barely grabbed a ball that was headed for the OF. Bad start to the third.
  17. I'm done. Good night. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
  18. It was retired in 97. Scott Karl wore 47. I don't know if he was the last, however.
  19. Have you not followed the Brewers for the last 12 years? People push away those they love if they've been violated before. The Brewers have violated their fans 1133 times in their last 2039 games (.444 since 93). Psycological reaction is to push away those that the fans love.
  20. Or the fact that it looked like the LF was going to catch it. I know I thought he was going to catch it judging by how he was reacting. If it was in the gap Clark would have scored. Also, you'd rather be on third with no out and the heart of your lineup coming up than risk getting thrown out.
  21. I don't know why, but watching that slow-mo of The Prince stealling second was kind of funny.
  22. For Career FSN says he's had three years. He got 1 AB in '04 and a cup of coffee and september call up last year. So technically he is in his thrid year, but today's only his 61st career game. Good solid hit to start off the inning.
  23. It's mute now. He's at 96 and lead off the inning, and we need runs.
  24. Pitch hit, 84 pitches now and they said he would only pitch 90.
