    If Turnbow pitches in this game before every other pitcher in a Brewer uniform has been exhausted, I'm going to buy a plane ticket to Milwaukee just to punch Yost in the face.

    "I think Cordero has silenced those who opposed this trade." I said after the trade was made that it wasn't awful, but it wasn't great, a solid 'C'. My main objection was acquiring Mench and clogging up the outfield picture, taking valuable PT away from Hart. Cordero has been better than I expected, I must admit. I still don't like the Mench acquisition, but in fairness to Melvin, let's wait and see what happens in the offseason. If he flips Mench in a deal that gets some pitching in return, it could net out to be a better deal than it appears to be at present.

    Sounds like Kim is due for a bad outing, and we know Ohka is overdue. They're playing at Coors, where there's been virtually no scoring the first two games. If I'm in Vegas, I'm taking the Over on this one.

    No brainer to bring Sheets out for the 9th. Four run lead, and he had been dominant. I second-guess Yost as much as anyone, but I think it's silly to question that move. Also glad he had the stones to go get Turnbow. Hopefully he retains the mindset that winning is more important than not hurting his players' feelings, and Jenkins rides a little pine this week.

    Anybody getting the Reds TV feed? Their announcers just basically spent the whole half inning talking about the Brewers injury problems. They were complimentary of Melvin's recent moves. Play by play guy is bummed about Weeks, because he's his 2B in his fantasy league.

    Given that they only gave up Tony Graffanino, I'm pretty sure that DLR has already made this trade a winner for KC, even if that's his only good start of the year.

    Somebody find me the most optimistic Brewer fan on Earth, so I can ask him if he thinks this team should gird up for a run at the playoffs.
