  1. The latest update from Chad Ford on ESPN insider said that Jennings had jumped ahead of Flynn on the Bucks board. Barring someone falling who shouldnt, that looks like the pick
  2. Artie Lange wasn't funny. His schtick is lame. The Favre interview was a good interview and while the show had some rough spots, Lange went on there to dive bomb it. The guy is a one trick pony who had to bring the show down to his level. Both Rudd and Sudakis are funnier than him and couldn't get a word in edgewise.
  3. Not trading Jefferson for Wally World last year makes this trade look worse. If I had never known about that, this wouldn't be that bad. Look at what Marcus Camby was traded for last year. You can't get quality players and cap flexibility at the same time
  4. It's going to happen unless there is a severe thunderstorm. It looks like the storm will have passed by the 8-8:30 start time tonite
  5. By 9 AM the chance to get a Uecker ticket will be long past. Your odds are way better waiting at window 40 for the $10 bleacher tickets as most aren't aware of these seats. The tickets are nice and unobstructed and you can get more than a ticket per person
  6. My future father in law has asked me to piece out his old baseball cards he had in storage and begin selling them. It looks like several of them would gain quite a bit of value if they were PSA graded. He has the 1955 and 1960 complete sets and the mantles appear to be in fantastic condition, as well as the Clemente rookie. How do I go about getting something PSA graded reasonably? Am I right thinking this would increase their value if they can score a 7 or an 8?
  7. For those who think Michael Redd doesn't crack the top 30 or 50 players in the league, this is the way that I would look at it. Could a team make the playoffs with Michael Redd as it's dominant player? Factoring the better teams in the west, I'd say Redd couldnt lead a team to the top 20 in the league. What about Redd as a second fiddle? Redd as the second best player on a team would be a title contender. Looking at that list above, think about how successful a team with some of these guys as their #1 dog would be. Kevin Love as the #1 option on a team would win 8-12 games. Same for Prince, Hamilton, Manu, Biedrins, Aldridge, Nene, Millsap would have the same result. Michael Redd as the best player on a crappy bucks team could lead to 26-34 wins at least if he's healthy
  8. They have it at some golf courses up in Washington and Ozaukee county. Pretty refreshing to keep you rolling on the back 9
  9. I just finished beating this game last night and would like to trade it for another game to play. I'm in the Milwaukee area and would prefer a hand to hand transaction but would swap in the mail. Just looking for another fun game to play. A sports game would be great but another similar game is good too
  10. He'll be the guy at one of the top programs in the country who is telling these top recruits that he's totally cool with them coming and playing for a year and bouncing. If he can throw those guys in with the long term guys that want to play for a program with that level of prestige, they could be a powerhouse in no time flat
  11. The idea of Pam selling vs Jim and Dwight and Michael going head to head has some serious potential
  12. "Johnson also said left fielder Ryan Braun will be undergoing an MRI on his right side, which he strained, at the request of the Milwaukee Brewers. Johnson added that Braun did not want the exam, but that the Brewers said Braun has a tendency to not admit when he's hurt. "He wanted me to keep an open mind and let him swing tomorrow," Johnson said. "I know ballplayers. ... I [said], 'I know you're lying to me right now. I also got word from the Brewers you might not be honest with me.' " I love Ryan Braun (Source: Braun day to day, Lindstrom done --1992)
  13. I was out there for Braun's debut two years back and it was awesome. We did the tour through the Animal Park where we got to feed rhinos and giraffes and it was unforgettable. This was really expensive to do however. The aircraft carrier was awesome. They had a bunch of the retired jets and helicopters from the past 50 years that were on the deck which was really cool
  14. you also may be the only person on the planet who thinks that all three guys on the Hawks would be better than Redd. Horford has shown very little improvement upon his rookie campaign and Josh Smith has regressed this season as well. There are many other examples on that list that are far from concrete. I think this is an example of not seeing the forest from the trees. Redd is highly regarded throughout the league and could be the second best player on a championship contender.
  15. My thoughts on why Ben killed him instead of the suicide are that a lot of the John Locke story has been rather biblical and perhaps the reincarnation that happens on the island couldn't happen if Locke were to take his own life? Or perhaps that Ben knew that they had to replicate exactly how the journey to the island was the first time and maybe Jack's dad didnt drink himself to death as previously advertised? Ben is very Utilitarian so if he has to get a little blood on his hands to ensure that what is to happen in the future will be for the greater good?
  16. That was just Lebron being better than everyone else on the court. 16 points in short of 3 minutes? One of those threes was at least a 30 footer. If he was hitting his throws, he would have had 60
  17. its pretty obvious that no one on here has been in sales..... One thing to remember before you are too much of a jerk to your rep is that renewals will generally slide every year based upon the percentage they receive for comm. If you want them to go the extra mile longterm, you may not want to become that guy who calls and they don't want to answer
  18. I think the market for these guys won't be quite what everyone is expecting. NBA teams are starting to lose faith in giving multi-year deals for over the mid level exemption to marginal starters. Given the fact that they are restricted free agents, there is always a little bit less of a market for those guys than for others. I'd be surprised if both didnt sign one year deals with the Bucks at the end of the season allowing them to be unrestricted next year
  19. Now the word is a potentially broken thumb for Ridnour? When it rains, it pours
  20. I'm not dismissing Mcneal as being useless at the NBA level, but he is the type of guy you grab in the second round and hope that his improvement from behind the arc hasnt been a mirage. Most of the shorter 2 guards in the league are either fantastic scorers, have point guard skills or both. A guy like Jason Terry can be excused on defense because he is such a threat on offense. There just isnt a good comparison in the NBA to what he does so he is hard to project, which is something that NBA GM's do not like. Charlie Bell is a decent comparison, but he wasnt much of a scorer in college. He also never had an 18% jump in his 3 point shooting for half a season either. Remember that while Charlie has been solid for the bucks in a back up role, he was playing all over the place and living from a suitcase for years before he caught on. He should aspire to be someone like Roger Mason Jr. Sneak into the league, work on your game for 3 or 4 years before sneaking into a starting lineup. I would just be worried that teams won't be aggressively looking for a 6'3" shooting guard whose greatest benefit is as a defender
  21. Mcneal is currently rocking the #74 spot on ESPN's draft coverage and should probably only be discussed in reference to the D-League or Turkish leagues. I haven't gotten to watch much of the Louisville team this year, does anyone have an opinion on Earl Clark? I know he's inconsistent but his potential length at the 3 along with his shot blocking ability intrigue me
  22. This is awesome. That dude is so intense. I love that he is so into his character, he even keeps the accent he's working in when he goes insane and starts cussing out people on the set.
  23. as long as the Bucks are in a fight for a playoff spot, I can't imagine seeing Charlie V getting moved unless he brought back a name to introduce to the fan base. There was actually a really nice crowd there last night. With the bucks in control most of the way through, the fans were into it. We can't send a message to the season ticket base that we are waving a white flag. This team played very well without Michael Redd earlier in the year and can probably hang around 500 for the season even without him. Maybe not the best thing long term, but it at least gives us a shot to maybe catch lightning in a bottle in the post like the Hawks did last year, maybe get people excited
  24. The Bucks are a southeastern Wisconsin team, not a statewide team so the exposure to Kohl would be limited. He is extremely committed to keeping the team in Milwaukee though so I hope he lives forever.
  25. There is nothing about this that doesn't suck. How many games did we get to see our starting line up out there? This team had a little of what it took to win back some fan base with the possibility of a 6-8 seed in the playoffs. I guess you can't plan on health. Needing sessions to play the 2 limits our ability to move him this year as well. I am too much in shock to think of any sort of good solution right now
