  1. At the game, can anyone tell me why Wong got second on that foul ball?
  2. This is a 0-0 game through 4 and it's taken an hour and a half. I know I sound like an old man, but pitch the ball.
  3. Giannis needs to be willing to set screens to make that happen. He isn't. He still ducks them, sets them in the wrong spots and at the wrong angles and has no idea where to go on the roll if he actually does set a good screen on someone.
  4. I highly recommend Church Brew Works, should be uber-able. It's a brewery in an old church. Beautiful and good beer and food. https://churchbrew.com/ I stayed in the Wyndham right on the point where the rivers converge, and the park there is beautiful and it's an easy walk across the Clemente Bridge to the stadium. The incline (tram) up the south side of the rivers is a blast and wandering around up above (and down below) is just quite beautiful if you get good weather.
  5. It's gotta be really difficult to come up as a play by play guy and then suddenly be asked to be the color guy.
  6. Thing on Adames is he was just as high a prospect as Hiura reached coming up and has proven to be valuable every year in the Majors. Brewers should jump at that offer every time. Maybe Adames doesnt possess the Ceiling Hiura could reach with the bat but Adames adds value all around whereas it's clearly only offense by Hiura. Probably need a different player to ask that question who might be more a low within top 100prospects whose shine is off from a top 50 previously. Got a guy Id wonder on. Seth Beer of Arizona minors. 1b. I'd have to strongly consider that since a true 1b(unathletically) vs Keston. Hes off to a good start in AAA. You want to bring Beer to the Brewers? I'm in. 100%.
  7. The only thing holding you back from cooking large amounts of food sous vide is how much water your sous vide can heat up and how big of a basin you have. I have a 24L basin which I could probably max out at around 25lbs of meat comfortably - I've done two large pork shoulders simultaneously before.
  8. Is this why none of our SS can throw to 1B? The ball just gets stuck to their hands?
  9. [sarcasm]Would he have to run his fingers through Burnes' hair?[/sarcasm] I know why it is in blue, but realistically if they started checking gloves and hats, players would just put it somewhere else. Might have to have TSA come in and train the umpires on how to search a body. (half blue, as we don't really know if the TSA is that good either - maybe border agents?)
  10. So, if you're under time demands, I will highly recommend a sous vide + vacuum sealer. It has made meal prepping and cooking large amounts of food extremely easy for me. Why? First: It is set it and forget it. If someone is working from home in your household, you can prep in the morning, then just drop it in and start the bath x-hours before you want dinner. Second: It's easy to cook & then freeze (or fridge for up to a week). Thaw at a later date and use a cast iron or a grill to get a good sear. Third: It will cook the juiciest and most delicious pork and chicken you've ever had. That's my two cents as a guy who has enjoyed my sous vide way too much over the past 3 or so years.
  11. My only complaint is that maybe sometimes Hader should pitch the 8th instead of the 9th, but can't blame the guy (or more likely his agent) for raising a stink about that when saves actually effect how much money a guy makes. Hader pitched 5.2% of the Crew's innings in 2019, 5.5% in 2018. He is at 4.6% right now (23/500). A whopping 3 innings off of the same percentage of innings as the last two full seasons.
  12. I mean, no? 7 years in New Orleans AD made it beyond the first round once. Injured LeBron couldn't quite carry the Lakers past the #2 seed in the West.
  13. Hiura: 1-23 with 13K and 2BB in 27 PA since he got called back up. .163 OPS Yelich: 6-38 with 9BB in 47 PA since coming off the DL (the second time). .609 OPS
  14. I need someone. Anyone. To give me numbers as to why the contact play, infield in with no outs is a good idea
  15. Very fair to be disappointed with the ending, and in a lot of ways, the last season. Outstanding series, but the last season felt beneath the quality they did before that. The last season happened during the writers strike which is why it was shorter episode-wise as well as not as good as the other seasons.
  16. Why would they do this? Why not add other sports for women? Men’s sports being cut due to Title IX is a cop out. These schools like UW need to simply reallocate resources or raise more money to support greater opportunities for all genders. Because it would require the administration to invest in non-revenue generating sports, which they have shown, time and time again, they don't want to do.
  17. Implosion? Manny Parra was the #2 starter in 2009. Randy Wolf was the #2 starter in 2010. Nothing Macha did, good or bad, was going to overcome the complete lack of starting pitching.
  18. I almost drove down for this two game series. With the miserable weather I'm really glad I didn't.
