  1. Well, shut up me.
  2. Series win was yesterday.
  3. The 4th of July was my favorite this year. https://www.mlb.com/video/ian-happ-called-out-on-strikes-huksb3
  4. I mean, he didn't win the Cy Young, but maybe?
  5. I need a gif of Caratini's reaction to that K
  6. That was 100% on McCutchen. He moved ten feet Should've easily held him to 3.
  7. I absolutely hate recruiters that cold call me. Does this actually work? Email me with the job description. Don't call me and ask, "Well, I'm looking at your resume, what are you looking for?" I've been doing virtually the same job for 10 years. What the heck do you think I'm looking for, you sleezy salesman?
  8. I don't have any kids of my own, but I'm pretty sure being home with 3 kids means he'll get a lot less rest.
  9. Not sure where you're located, Jimbo, but I know Blast Cleaning Technologies in Milwaukee is always looking to hire good people. Also, I've heard through the grapevine that Milwaukee tool is about to do a big expansion into the Sun Prairie area over the next 6 months or so.
  10. "Slow seasons" are wildly variable depending on if something is happening in downtown Milwaukee that weekend, and yes hotels downtown run about 1.5x to 2x those you'd get out in Brookfield usually.
  11. There have been two movies about players getting their 3,000th hit, as far as I know. One of them was based on the premise that the Brewers teams wearing that logo were so bad that they would allow a complete side show of a player to play for them in order to increase attendance while he chased his 3,000th hit. I'm 43 years old, that logo represents the worst period of my fandom. They even made a movie about it.
  12. I imagine he'll go on the 60 day DL which puts him to.... the last week in July anyway.
  13. Josh Hader gave up 2 runs on July 28th, 2021. He's now at a 34 1/3 IP scoreless streak. That's pretty gosh darned good.
  14. 61.8% in zone contact percentage. League average is 84.2. He is still missing pitches in the zone at a disastrous rate.
  15. Bring on the pitch clock! https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/new-rules-dramatically-sped-up-last-nights-milb-games/ https://joeposnanski.substack.com/p/bring-on-the-pitch-clock
  16. Just because you don't remember them doesn't mean they don't exist. Just last year they were running out lineups with JBJ, Pablo Reyes, Hiura and Travis Shaw.
  17. The fact that you can quote exact player salaries and hold that against the players while not being able to say one truthful word about how much the owners make is by design. If the owners wanted to end this, they'd open their books and show the players how big a share of revenue they are already getting and leave it at that. They won't however, because - I wonder why someone wouldn't be transparent in a negotiation? Any ideas? Is there a rule or law that says that the company has to reveal their finances to a union in cba negotiations. I assume not since baseball doesn't seem to. Why do some feel it's necessary for the league and clubs to have to reveal their financials. It's called negotiating in good faith, which the owners have very obviously not been doing.

  19. From my season seat holder email today, in blatant anti union propaganda:
