  1. Any of the bars on Bluemound. Take 41/45 south from Appleton to the Bluemound exit. Go east and you’ll run into them. For a reference, when you get off the freeway to get onto Bluemound your at 100th street. Awesome advice, thanks! For reference, Miller Park is at about 45th Street.
  2. What you really want as the Milwaukee Bucks is a head coach who managed to alienate his players and especially his foreign born superstar 7 footer.
  3. Backpacking! For $700 you can get one heck of a starter kit Leave the roads behind.
  4. Plenty of other bars offer shuttles to Brewers games: https://onmilwaukee.com/bars/articles/millerparkshuttles.html Lots of places would be closer to the airport. I've had great success with Steny's shuttle, and they are about 1/2 way between the airport and Miller Park.
  5. I have the choice of paying twice as much and having to deal with Cubs fans, or not doing either of those things. The choice is an easy one
  6. In a tie game, at home, you can't get a save, so you throw your closer in the 9th, so says Buck Showalter
  7. Throw to 2nd Braun, two bad plays now Arcia also was not in the right position to cut the ball off. So, three easily fixed mental errors. Cost a run.
  8. I had a hot dog on Monday and it was different than in past years; a little redder and a little longer. It was tasty, though that could have been because I was pretty hungry by then. The Johnsonville wrap around my dog was inside out, which makes me think it's not a Johnsonville product. Hebrew National sounds plausible, but their name doesn't appear anywhere I've looked yet. Glad you got to Tuesday's game, JimH5. I hope you couldn't hear my ugly cough from across the section. JS Online reported on the Hebrew National signing: https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2018/03/23/theres-new-hot-dog-miller-park-hebrew-national-joins-milwaukee-brewers-lineup/452487002/
  9. It's 161. I'm just saying.
  10. Regression is the correct word, you regress towards the mean, so, if you were unlucky you can get luckier.. Like Barnes might. It's rarely used in that context however
  11. Just going to leave this here: http://research.sabr.org/journals/the-statistical-mirage-of-clutch-hitting You can still make a clutch play or get a clutch hit. "Ryan Braun was incredibly clutch the last week of the 2008 season" is a factual statement.
  12. You double switch because Squints is much better defensively than Villar.
  13. Craig Counsell with the, "You had one job and failed" look on his face
  14. He slid feet first into home and managed to head butt the grind somehow. I've never seen anything like it.
  15. After hearing from my father all off season abuot how sliding head first is dumb, because of Jimmy Nelson, now I'm sure sliding will be dumb.
  16. Got my pocket Doppler all hooked up, the tomato cans are planted, I'm ready for baseball.
  17. If Chase keeps this up over 200 innings this year, he'll have like 400 Ks.
  18. They can't sign anyone, they are capped out.
  19. First time since MLK was shot that everyone is opening on the same day. Go crew!
  20. The 8 spot comes up more often with two out and none on more than any other spot in the order, except third. It's worth about ten runs a year to swap them, but that assumes the team uses an optimal lineup otherwise.
  21. Which one? Dad or the son? Rick Pitino You know, the one who wins because he hires hookers to help recruit the best players.
