  1. They gave Rose the shots they wanted to give him: 3 pointers. He shot 28% from 3 on the season. He's shooting 46% this series. The Bucks aren't losing because of MCW, they are losing because the Bulls front line is simply light years ahead of the Bucks talent wise. Noah and Gasol vs Zaza and Illyasova/Dudley. Using plus-minus without comparing it to the rest of the team is also being disingenuous. Giannis Antetokounmpo -3.7 Khris Middleton -11.0 John Henson -2.7 Ersan Ilyasova -10.7 Jared Dudley 1.3 Michael Carter-Williams -11.3 Jerryd Bayless -0.3 O.J. Mayo -1.7 Zaza Pachulia -6.7 It's almost like, their starters are clearly better than the Bucks starters -- which anyone would've said going into the series.
  2. From their android app page:
  3. Go figure, taking a walk was actually beneficial....
  4. Parra career 93 OPS+, Shafer career 65 OPS+. One stinks, one is a teeny bit below average.
  5. Agree. I stopped reading IGT's last year because I couldn't handle the idiocy and constant chest puffing bickering.
  6. I think they're both losing their marbles a bit, but perhaps we could get Geno Auriemma.
  7. They have the highest O-swing % in baseball. That means: They swing at a higher percentage of pitches outside of the zone than any other team in baseball. Fangraphs O% They are 29th in BB%. Fangraphs BB% The hitting approach on this team is absolutely horrible.
  8. They won't have much money this season after they pay Middleton whatever he gets. With the cap predicted to balloon up to 108 million in 4 years, there's no reason not to match whatever he gets offered. Next summer will be their chance to sign a legit guy, with Ersan, Zaza, Mayo and Dudley all coming off the books, plus the cap going up about 20M.
  9. OBP correlates to runs better than just about any other statistic. Not making outs is how you score. The team-wide aversion to walks is troubling. So is the fact that the coaching staff seems to encourage it.
  10. The NWS tests are a state wide thing today. Every person I know had a work tornado drill today too.
  11. Yes, clearly, it's the beanballs, not talent which is winning the Cardinals division titles. Well you remove talent from your Division rivals like the Cardinals did to Milw when hitting Ramirez, you help your cause. By Depleting another team's. Ramirez 17RBI 3HRs had seen action in every Brewer Game of 2014 before he was beaned. Missed next 2 games. Played in only 7 of the next 8games. and then missed 22games straight. Brewers 16-17 during that stretch. While Ramirez's replacement Mark Reynolds may have done a quality job at 3b. It also meant the Brewers had to endure Lyle Overbay's game playing in May to the tune of .161BA and .474OPS. And that's just the single instance I can think of off the top of my head. You think Stl would hit Milw's batters if Milw retaliated and hit their hot batters or quality players? Due to the effect it could have of lost talent on a season? I'd bet Wainwright would be more in line of that 10% of games played where he hit a Milwaukee batter vs 21% Could probably go back through the years on Wainwright and the biggest competition they had for the division title I'm guessing is where the Hit batters were. Again 5 of 7 last season Milw/Pitts. For an Ace he sure hit the Competition for the division vs any other opponent. So, getting hit in the elbow caused him to pull a hamstring 2 weeks later. I just want to make sure I have this correct. Your cause and effect logic is not very compelling.
  12. Yes, clearly, it's the beanballs, not talent which is winning the Cardinals division titles.
  13. They weren't losing because they traded Knight. They were losing because Mayo, Dudley and Ersan were all hurt at the same time. They went from the best bench in the league to what would've been the worst in the league for 3 weeks.
  14. This isn't baseball. You can't extend first rounders on their rookie deals until after year 4, then they are restricted free agents and the Bucks have the right to match any deal that is thrown at him. Giannis isn't going anywhere.
  15. There's a reason Melvin has an open extension waiting on his desk, and it's because he does what the owner demands of him and does it pretty darn well. It may not be what you want, or what you like, but that's the reality of the situation.
  16. It was PH, lefty, lefty... but yes, still, idiocy. Smith absolutely should've been the call there.
  17. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2015/franchise_four.jsp?c_id=mil Here's their list of 8 to choose from: First off: What is Gorman Thomas doing on there? No Higuera or Sheets? edit: Added link
  18. Clearly everyone is tuned in to the Bucks game to see their salute to Bud Selig.
  19. Google is crowd sourced. Anyone can add markers which then get approved if there is not currently a marker in that area.
  20. I don't see that happening. West Virginia basically tried to play Kentucky's game, and failed miserably. The Badgers are a low turnover team and they have guys at every position who can handle the ball and they also don't try to press or grab many offensive rebounds (which leads to fast breaks the other way). I'm really excited for the game, I really think that Bucky has a legit chance.
  21. The pic I posted was on the Bucks twitter feed & the end of the halftime tease video.
  22. He had a .360 BABIP that season. While being below .300 the two years surrounding it. It was the definition of a fluky lucky year.
  23. Another shot of the logo:
  24. I believe the rationale, based on what I have read, is that Parra will be the main PH and having Schafer will allow RR flexibility to use Parra as such. If the choice is between Herrera and Schafer and the role is specifically being late inning OF replacement, give me Schafer. I hate that reasoning, and that logic. Braun can play CF for 3 innings if Gomez gets hurt and you need to pull him after Parra pinch hits. This is the same idiocy that keeps coaches from using their backup C as a pinch hitter. You can "Well, what if" yourself into not doing a LOT of things. The probability of them happening is pretty darn slim, however.
