  1. Amazingly it was one of two games on the night with 40 combined hits. And one of three with 25+ combined runs.
  2. I was just texting with my family about how I thought the Brewers probably wished they could be sellers given the prices that assets are fetching.
  3. I am not a superstitious person but I don’t know how you explain the Midas touch of the front office and coaching staff this year without invoking some sort of Uecker voodoo.
  4. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the Brewers would approach “Aaron Rodgers vs the Bears” level of dominance against the Cubs. And it’s even sweeter with a disgusted Counsell having a front row seat.
  5. The Mariners have apparently moved on from Suarez for the moment, although they might have just leaked that information to try and bring the price down.
  6. I bet Suarez ends up in Seattle.
  7. I assume they would use him as an “opener” essentially which I don’t have a problem with. If he could do ~3-4 innings to get through the top of the order twice that would be ideal. We don’t need any more than that.
  8. We witnessed his MLB debut the other day…we didn’t make it fun for him.
  9. I can almost guarantee you that Arnold got a call from Dipoto in May around the time that the Brewers were scuffling and Rowdy Tellez had worn out his welcome in Seattle.
  10. Aaah the annual tradition of Trader Jerry making the first deadline move.
  11. The White Sox have won 5/6 including taking 2/3 from the Rays. I think we can at least hope for the Cubs to drop one of the three.
  12. I think the Mets showed us what the formula is to beat the Brewers in the postseason -- get them in a low scoring game that is a battle of high leverage arms and be the lucky ones who get the bigger clutch hit. Same as the 1-0 loss to the Mariners -- the Brewers could easily have won that game and it just came down to luck essentially. As soon as the opposing pitching shows cracks the Brewers are insanely good at taking advantage. I think getting the bye out of the wild card round is the #1 key to postseason success for the Brewers. The opponent can't immediately throw their top arms at us and a deeper series will give our depth more time to shine. I think our advantage will be greatest in a 7-game series.
  13. The Mariners are on the right side of the umpire scoreboard like 80% of the time. Raleigh might be having the best MVP runner up season of time.
  14. We’ve gotten to Muñoz in the past. He also tips pitches sometimes. Let’s see how well we scouted him.
  15. It’s hard to see the ball in evening games prior to 8 pm in Seattle. Especially for right handed hitters.
  16. Their bullpen is mostly garbage. 3 out of their 5 starters have missed considerable time. Rodriguez doesn’t start hitting until July. Surprisingly their offense is pretty good.
  17. If they make it a dozen and match ‘87 tomorrow I might start believing that they are going all the way.
  18. I agree that it's a fair question to ask because it's hard to show anything definitive statistically, but that 2018 team was full of vets. I think the shoddy defense in the 2024 wild card round can be at least partially attributed to playoff inexperience. The 2025 Brewers are one of the youngest teams in MLB. I've just seen it too many times where some of these experienced teams coast through the regular season and then suddenly find another gear in the postseason. I think of the Castellanos quote in particular: “A lot of time I have trouble keeping focused everyday 9 innings in the regular season, but with the postseason the baseball’s incredible you don’t have a choice but to be locked in and I think that’s just kinda why I’m playing better.”
