  1. Weeks, Hairston, Yuni, Lucroy. Not feeling good about our chances. But only one bad pitch could turn things around.
  2. Texas is now one win away. That would be an interesting matchup for either the Brewers or Cardinals.
  3. After the Phillies-Rays series, Selig changed the rule, they all have to be finished now.
  4. If the final is 4-3, it's going to be a tough one to swallow. I trust that our offense will not allow that to happen.
  5. That rain isn't moving very fast. Plus, it is beginning to weaken. But what's left of it could still make it before the game is over.
  6. Kranitz to Gallardo: "Don't allow any more fly balls to CF."
  7. I was hoping that the misguided decision to start Kotsay wouldn't hurt us, but this is turning into a complete disaster. Cut your losses Ron and pull him from the game NOW!
  8. Yeah that rain is definitely headed for St. Louis. I agree, Narveson or Wolf should start tonight if it appears there will be a rain delay. If it looked like the rain is coming in the 2nd-4th inning, you could start one of them and then bring Gallardo in after the rain moves through.
  9. I bought a car a few years ago (in the Madison area) from a seller I found via Craigslist. Obviously there are plenty of scams and I would be hesitant to follow up on an ad in a bad neighborhood, but it worked for me. Some dealers post there as well, so it is at least worth a look.
  10. The Cubs just have to win the World Series as an indirect consequence of the Red Sox collapse, the story practically writes itself.
  11. As of right now, I do not anticipate any problems with the weather, just scattered showers. But that could change later if more stuff develops.
  12. I love your posts. But stopping him is easier said than done. The Brewers have generally been successful at getting him out this year. Meanwhile, I'm ready to give up on this game. It's too bad for all the fans there tonight, but that's how the game goes.
  13. The scary part about tonight is that if the result holds up, there's no safety net of Miller Park to come back to if things go badly in St. Louis. This could be it at Miller Park for 2011. I don't think it will happen (and I haven't given up on tonight yet with the Cards bullpen) and I think most of us expect the Brewers to win one in St. Louis. But they lost badly twice in Arizona and they need to play better on the road this time around.
  14. I keep hearing the argument that instant replay will slow the game down. I don't see how. That call was obvious. It would have taken one view to see it, less than 30 seconds. Everyone watching on TV saw the replay less than 15 seconds after the call on the field was made.
  15. No problem, we'll just go to the instant replay...oh, wait.
  16. BSOD? Followed by the MasterCard commercial for the 100th time.
  17. I just hid all the "game over" comments and replies. Now that all the debbie downers went to bed, it's just the optimistic people here I guess.
  18. I said this yesterday also, please do not post that the game is over when the game isn't over.
