  1. I was at that game. I was 9 years old at the time. It was maybe the second or third game that I ever attended. I don't really remember that play, but I sure remember the giant brawl that broke out an inning later.
  2. I really want to go to bed, but I just can't give up on this game. Last night it was easy after the grand slam, but I still feel like they have one more rally in them.
  3. But fortunately we're not going to ever have to go there.
  4. Amazing run, best of my life, go get them in 2012. Let me pour you another glass of Kool Aid. Well that's probably what I'll say on Sunday or Monday. On Friday, it's going to be a lot of expletives.
  5. I'm still shaking, thought for sure Hart got it. It's too bad he hits them so high, a lower line drive plates 3.
  6. I want a slam, but Hart's mentality has to be to chip away and extend the inning for Braun/Fielder.
  7. LOL, I hope you are not serious. But at least the D'backs fans wouldn't boo Counsell.
  8. Lets not over-dramatize this inning. If the Brewers score 0, their WPA is only going to drop by a couple %. But it would be nice to get some momentum going again.
  9. This team just doesn't play well from behind. Way too aggressive. Not saying they can't come back, but they need to take those pitches out of the zone.
  10. I'm still angry and I'm getting angrier because my wife is making fun of me for being angry. Clean inning Wolf. NOW.
  11. I hope that in a few days we can look back and laugh at this. But right now I am angered and saddened beyond words.
  12. We have to pull for the Cards tonight so that the eventual winner has to waste another starting pitcher on Friday. As for who to play in the NLCS? The Phillies are ridiculously good, while the Cardinals have the rivalry aspect. I want the Brewers to be the team to put away the Cardinals, and it will be a great showcase for the NL Central after recent terrible performances. Think of all the storylines: -Divisional rivals -1982 rematch -Controversy with LaRussa's complaining -Top two free agents on display A major brawl would almost be guaranteed to break out in that series. Bring it on.
  13. Saw it live. Definitely thought Alou would have caught it--and with his reaction, who wouldn't think that? Of course we thought that the fan was an idiot for reaching over. It was only later that I realized how difficult it was to judge where the ball/fielder were from the funny angle of that seat. As the documentary clearly showed, you didn't think much of it at the time. It wasn't until later in the inning, as Fox kept showing the play over and over. They weren't showing Gonzalez' missed play 100 times, they were showing the Bartman play. I honestly thought the Cubs would win Game 7. But I knew that guy would be in trouble if they didn't--but I thought the blame would be more evenly shared between him, Gonzalez, Cubs' pitching, etc. It was a surprise to see 95% of the blame focused on Bartman
  14. Most important Brewers game of my 25 year lifetime. No pressure at all.
  15. Collmenter wants the Brewers to swing early in the count and that is exactly what they are doing. It is especially troubling because it is a small strike zone.
  16. This must be how Arizona fans felt yesterday. You just have that sick feeling that things are about to get out of control.
  17. The Brewers will play for the NL Pennant if they win tonight. I've been waiting my whole life for this. I have a bottle of champagne in the fridge. Finish them off.
  18. Thanks dayzedcrewfan for the great post, I completely agree that the playoff experience is best watched in person. But this doesn't seem to be going anywhere and we already have a thread about the parking lot controversy.
  19. I think some of it comes from the Giants Stadium case from about 5 years ago. The beer vendor was found liable for $135 million after a drunk patron paralyzed a 2-year old on the way home. Obviously that case was completely different and the vendor was clearly negligent, but needless to say, if someone sues the Milwaukee Brewers/stadium district for $135 million and wins, there will not be any more playoff games in Milwaukee for a long, long time. It is unfortunate for those that follow the rules, but ultimately the owners of the parking lot need to close the lot at a designated time and clear everyone out. However, I am sure the strict enforcement will only be for the playoffs. There is a lot of media attention on Milwaukee and they are probably especially paranoid of an incident happening. The Brewers understand that the tailgating crowd is a big part of their business, especially when the team isn't winning, and I highly doubt they will do anything to severely upset that balance.
