  1. How the heck did Yuni put up a .725 OPS in 2005 playing his home games at Safeco Field???
  2. Oh wow, Tulo made that throw from the 2B position. I'm not even upset, that play was great.
  3. What is wrong with the Brewers on the road? Morgan was just trying to get thrown out on the bases. He should have been out 3 times.
  4. Yo's having a tough night but it seems like everything is finding a gap. At least it's Coors field so there is hope for a comeback. Edit: didn't mean to set off the filter ;-)
  5. That is why you walk Prince Fielder. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more.
  6. He's been our #1 for the last 2 1/2 seasons. I think what you mean to say is that he will never be a top-10 Cy Young pitcher.
  7. Nice hit Yovani! What happened to the 2010 Jimenez?
  8. Memo to Corey Hart: thin air makes the ball go farther.
  9. Personally I think he looked fine. If we hadn't been closely scrutinizing his every step, we probably wouldn't have noticed anything. Tie game already...
  10. Nice to have our duo back together again. Also nice to hear Brewers fans cheering in Colorado, it seems like they are everywhere this year.
  11. No worries about the hit streak tonight :-)
  12. I think it is essential to do well on this road trip (at least 5-6 wins) but it doesn't really matter which games they win.
  13. Noticed this as well. Prince is definitely on a mission to improve his public relations this year. The looks are just a subtle sign, but he has definitely moved beyond the incidents that plagued his reputation earlier in his career. Of course Brewers fans knew he was a great guy all along, but improving his standing will not only get him a better contract this winter, but improve his overall legacy as well.
  14. As others have said, awesome trade :-) This is the second time that Melvin has jumped the gun and made the first move of the trading season. It was a very good decision to get this done now ahead of the 11-game road trip. I think everyone expects that Melvin is going to deal for a SS next. It will probably mean the end of Wilson, with Betancourt moving to the backup spot. Furcal seems like the most logical choice without depleting the minors, although he will not come as easily as K-Rod. We are 3 games behind San Francisco, I would like to get ahead of them to get home field advantage in the NLDS.
  15. The AL has the offense but the NL has the pitching. Blowouts are rare in the ASG, I expect it will be close. Go Rickie and Prince!
  16. It's a shame that Prince has to sit for like 30 minutes now, he probably would have hit 25 had he been given 10 outs there.
  17. I'm going to turn it off whether he advances or not ;-) It's already almost 10 pm here, time for bed. They need to start this thing sooner if they want the east coast audience to stay up until the end.
  18. It's nice to have 2 Brewers in the derby, but I do not think it will go well for TV ratings and overall buzz. The excitement is down somewhat now that the steroid era is in the past. I would love to see Jayson Stark's idea to have 4 all-stars vs. 4 "BP legends", I would pick: Fielder, Ortiz, Bautista, and Howard vs. Branyan, Dunn, Mike Stanton, and Nelson Cruz. As for tonight, I'm pulling for Prince and Rickie, but I hope it's Bautista if the Brewers can't win it.
  19. Right now, the loge bleachers for September 26th are going for $10, loge outfield for $20. So the prices seem to really benefit buying far in advance.
  20. That is a good question. I think so. But the question is how low/high can the prices go. I would guess about 25% either way, but if their goal is to get people in the seats, I could see them giving away terrace seats for $5 for late season games when the Brewers are out of contention.
  21. LINK I understand that the main reason for doing this is to narrow the gap between the scalped price and the face value. But how often do Brewers tickets sell above face value? 3-4 games per year maybe? It could also be seen as a disadvantage to those who travel from out of the Milwaukee area to Miller Park and can only make the high-demand Saturday and Sunday games. For those in the Milwaukee area or those that frequent weeknight games, will the increase on weekends come with a corresponding decrease in prices on weeknights? Or is it more of a hidden ticket price increase? Does anyone have any firsthand experience from other teams that have tried this?
  22. Very evenly matched series. The Brewers could have easily won or lost all 4 games.
  23. Yeah that Wikipedia page is suspect. I deleted that section, someone can put it back if they find verification.
