  1. Now Hardy is only going to get a 2-run HR instead of a 3-run bomb!
  2. Counsell is on a hot streak!!!
  3. JJ Hardy a triple crown contender??? I never thought the words "JJ Hardy" and "Triple Crown" would be in the same sentence.
  4. Looks like I'm going to have to skip this one to study for finals :-( Go Brewers!
  5. The number of fly ball outs is concerning today. The wind is blowing in and we can't depend on home runs every game to win. I don't expect us to come back today, but if we could at least get a few to make it interesting, that would be nice.
  6. We've all been critical of the aggressive baserunning the year, but we got 2 runs out of nothing right there. Awesome!
  7. Another 4-0 comeback (aka Cubs)???
  8. Brewers hitters look like they are pressing. Suppan is getting shelled. I was afraid of this--all the attention getting to them. Better now than October to start getting used to it. This game isn't over yet, but it is if we keep trying to pull the ball.
  9. I believe Valentin is still on the DL.
  10. I also have an irrational fear of us losing the series...just like have for virtually every game and series this year. The only game that I was sure we were going to win was opening day. I should have stomach ulcers by July and I'll be watching the playoffs from the hospital.
  11. Estimates using Brewers website: Monday/Tuesday: 19-21,000 Wednesday: 15-17,000
  12. Although I would love to see Sheets nail one of the Pirates, I'd rather we don't. Sheets doesn't need to get thrown out, and a fight could only help the Pirates, since we already appear to be an inspired, mortivated team on a hot streak.
  13. I assume he'll pitch 7 tonight if he keeps this up.
  14. The Yankees' Wang has been pounding the Mariners through 7.
  15. sold out crowd tonight is it the dollar hot dogs? or a winning team?
  16. Claudio Vargas Must aviod resembling Harry Houdini
  17. If Graffy is up, I can see us running that play, but with your cleanup hitter up??? Dumb.
  18. Sheets' location is really poor tonight. I hope there isn't anything wrong with him.
  19. Although I agree that Dessens and Spurling do not belong in close games, there isn't anyone out there to replace them right now. Solid relief pitching is hard to come by, and Dessens has a career 4.42 ERA, so it isn't like he's undeserving of being on a major league roster Spurling is up because Capellan is a head case right now.
  20. Not the best lineup in the world, but Counsell has done well as a leadoff hitter. Attendance prediction: 20,415
  21. Condolances to the Cardinals... Please take it out on the Astros on Friday.
  22. Back to our opening day lineup again after all that shuffling.
  23. I like the way things are going, but I'm not going to change my preseason prediction of 83-85 wins yet. Remember, the 2003 Brewers went on a 14-2 stretch. Furthermore, we haven't had any injuries yet. That being said, this team isn't playing up to its potential yet, Braun isn't here, Hall is batting under .250, Sheets has been inconsistent, and Aquino/Villenueva cost us a few games. I want to see how they do in May on the two road trips (NYM/PHI and LAD/SD) before I consider 90 wins and a division title as a possibility. It sure looks good though so far!!! By the way, these games against the Astros are not must-wins. Even if we lose tonight and tomorrow, it's a 3-3 road trip, which satisfies the goal of .500 on the road. I would sure like us to win tonight, though, the pitching matchup looks good and the Astros have been horrible lately.
