Casey McGehee. why? -
Ha, yeah. He always looks like someone just cut in front of him in line at the grocery store and he can't believe it. Oh man, this could be huge.
-
That's not true. After RR used De La Cruz for IP+ today, I'm not too surprised. I can't remember him using K-Rod or Ax in a game where the team is losing this year.
-
The only problem with Yuni up and the bases loaded is that he will never walk home a run, but he has smoked the ball so far today.
-
I thought Braun was getting the day off?
-
De La Cruz hasn't pitched in 9 days, so that's his excuse. What's Roenicke's excuse, BA? Also, the fans at the park know that this game matters. You can sense some tension.
-
Where did Taylor Green come from? I hope Rickie didn't hurt something running to first. If you are going to give anyone a day off why not Rickie instead of Braun? Or how about de la Cruz?
-
Yuni Beightoncour comes up large.
-
Almost Marcum. Almost. Still only a 3 run game with 5 innings to bat.
-
Corey Hart is a good hitter. Does anyone doubt that we can win this game?
-
Lucroy's been throwing out a high percentage of runners lately.
-
Roenicke got the idea from Joe Maddon, who he used to work with and I'm pretty sure guys were probably dressing up before Maddon had the Rays doing it.
-
Which is MUCH better than playing the Phillies in the first round, so go Cards! I was disappointed in all the fans rooting against the Cards on Friday. It was a short-sighted motivation. The Crew wasn't going to lose 5 straight at home against the likes of the Marlins and Pirates.Playing the Braves in the first round is a better matchup then playing the DBacks in the first round, regardless of who has homefield advantage, so rooting against the Cardinals is forgivable. All you can do for sure at this point is cheer for the Brewers and against the DBacks and hopefully things shape up so that the Brewers don't have to face the Phillies in round 1.
-
That's right, but if the Cardinals win the WC and the Dbacks have the same record as us or better, we play the Dbacks in the first round without homefield advantage.
-
Lucky for sure. If the Marlins don't cut off Rottino's throw to home, Kottaras is out by 10 feet.
-
Hey, it's the hometown kid Vinny Rottino!
-
Maybe we should let it slide just this one time.

Anyone know where I can order a shirt for less than the $30 price on mlb.com? Maybe someone has a coupon code?
-
I don't think Lincecum has ever pitched on less than full rest, even during the playoff run last year. Maybe he won't or can't pitch on short rest.

Carlos Gomez says not today. Nice catch. Greinke allowed 14 baserunners through 5 innings. This could be a lot worse.

Does anyone know the answer to this, or more specifically why he is sitting today? Clinch hangover?
