  1. At one point earlier in the year around the time inter-league play started, Prince said something like, "It's like every city that we visit during a roadtrip is an audition for where I might play next year". I agree that this is old news, and he didn't say that he hated his time in Milwaukee. I hope people don't get on his case for this. He has given us 6 great yaers.
  2. I don't put too much weight into those playoff percentages. At one point in August the Giants were a 95% chance to make the playoffs, now look at them. There is a 99% chance that I won't get into a car accident today, but I'm still going to wear my seatbelt. It's baseball and anything can happen.
  3. MIL 3-9 (90-72) - @CIN (1-2), @CHC (1-2) FLA (1-2) PIT (0-3) STL 10-3 (91-71) - @PHI (2-2) NYM (3-0) CHC (3-1) @HOU (3-0) ARI 7-5 (95-78)- @SD (2-1) PIT (2-1) SF (2-1) LAD (1-2) ATL 4-8 (90-72) - NYM (2-1) @FLA (1-2) @WAS (1-2) PHI (0-3) The Brewers tie with ATL for the wild card spot after losing the division on the last game of the regular season. A one game playoff against the Braves in Milwaukee has the Brewers losing 4-3 in 13 innings on an Eric Hinske PH homerun. STL ends up playing PHI and sweeps them. The STL/NYY World Series goes to 7 games where Yadier Molina hits the game winning home to drive in Albert Pujols in the bottom of the 9th inning at Busch Stadium. Pujols resigns with the Cards and Fielder signs with the Cubs.
  4. Ha. And Sports Illustrated isn't invited to Chase Utley's birthday party. These polls are useless.
  5. There are reasons to think he 'could be' better, there is no reason to think he 'will be' better. There is a difference. I don't think one solution is a lock over the other, especially not to the point to say the manager is failing by making one decision over the other. That's a good enough reason to at least give Green a couple of starts per week. No one knows if Green will outperform McGehee for the remainder of the year, or even if Green will end up being a legitimate major league player, but with the way McGehee has underperformed this year and with the numbers Green has put up in the minors, why shouldn't RR give Green a few starts per week?
  6. I would be bothered by this, except it was pretty much guaranteed anyway. As long as it doesn't affect his on field performance I'll still have love for the big guy and will give him a loud standing ovation during his last AB.
  7. Why does it seem like you are constantly trying to get people to berate Yuni? Leave him alone for 1 game.
  8. Where's our offense? (clap, clap, 3 fast claps) Where's our offense?

  11. He really did look terrible in his first 4 ABs, swinging at garbage way out of the zone, and then add in his terrible defensive play. But he made up for it BIG TIME. Hell of an at bat Braun! Huge win.
  12. Every pitch would go to the backstop without a catcher, so I'd say they're pretty important.
  13. Casey McGehee bunting on the other hand with a runner on second is dumb.
  14. Yes, especially in a close game. It's a safe call because pitchers are not good hitters, but generally good bunters.
  15. They are too lazy to do laundry, you think they are going to waste time lifting a telephone up to their ear?
  16. Well at least McGehee took 4 pitches to make his out.
  17. I feel like they haven't worn the white jerseys very often lately. They look good. Slump buster good.
  18. Unlike Gomez, Weeks is a good hitter. I would be more worried about Weeks coming back too early and reaggravating his ankle legging out a triple or sliding into a base.
  19. That Polanco homerun landed just above the scoreboard that was displaying Polanco's .337 slugging percentage.
