  2. Here's Roenicke on McGehee just before the game today (from Haudricourt): Roenicke said both players are having enough good at-bats to stay in the lineup and that he doesn't just go on overall numbers. "It's frustrating to (McGehee) because he feels good and his swing is good," said Roenicke. "I agree that his swing looks good. That's why it's surprising." You can almost defend keeping Yuni in there, because with JHJ hurt, there's not really anyone better to step in, but I hate the fact that he defends their playing time by claiming that they are having good at bats. McGehee is having terrible at bats to the point that when he strikes out instead of grounding into a double play I breathe a sigh of relief. There is an option to replace a struggling McGehee a few nights a weeks. Why is Taylor Green not getting a few starts a week at this point?!?
  3. It sounds like he's in a lot of pain. I'm not sure why they would let him come in as a late game replacement at this point, it's not like they needed him to play. I think RR needs to rest his key players when he can.
  4. Great series! Let's take the momentum into Chicago. Hopefully some Brewer fans are making the trip down to Wrigley.
  5. Hart is not hurt, we're just up 8-1 in the 9th inning on the day before travel.
  6. Counsell has a better OBP than Yuni, which is amazing considering that Counsell is batting .172.
  7. I really want RR to bench McGehee tomorrow against the righty. I don't know how RR can honestly say that McGehee is getting good swings on the ball.
  8. Sorry if this is old news, but the Reds announcers were saying that Brewers had NFL dressup day on the flight into Cinncinati. Marcum dressed as a Green Bay Packer with helmet and full pads. Funny stuff.
  9. Tough break for the kid pitcher. He probably wasn't expecting to pitch today and hadn't reviewed any tape on the Brewers. I wouldn't be against pulling Weeks at this point.
  10. Maloney is a lefty too, so the lineup probably isn't going to change. I just hope Rickie is feeling good enough to play. No need to take risks on him when we will really need him in the postseason.

  13. D-backs and Padres tied at 1-1 in the 4th inning. Phillies up on the Cardinals 3-0 in the top of the 8th inning.
  14. That's a big RBI from Yuni in this game. And give McGehee credit for not GIDPing, he made this possible.
  15. Yo is really good tonight with his slider setting up the curveball. 11 strikeouts so far?
  16. Yuni. And really the Brewers should be up by a few runs the way Volquez is pitching tonight.
  17. I'd venture to guess that he has more than 30 actually.Good guess with 30. Yuni has 28 this year. Votto has 1.
