  1. Most of us don't have to listen to Bill outside of the booth, so I wouldn't consider that a reason to replace him. He's not the brightest guy out there and gets his fair share of ribbings from BA, but I like the fact that he's a down to earth guy who knows Wisconsin and Wisconsin baseball. I think DM can find a position for Jenks elsewhere in the organization. Now Cousell as manager I could get behind.......
  2. Did anyone catch the ovation that Jenkins got throwing out the first pitch? I hope he got treated well.
  3. It's 11-1 after 3.1 innings. I gave it my best effort, but I have to turn this off.
  4. It's not out of the realm of possibility, but it would seem pretty unlikely that both STL and CIN both go under .500 for the rest of the season. If we pretend that the both teams go .500 from here on out, that places the Cardinals with a record of 85-77 winning the division. This is 6 wins less than the 91 wins that it took them to win the division last year. This means that the Brewers need to go 53-36 (.595) for the remainder of the season to finish just 1 game above the Cardinals and win the division. That seems like a tall order for a team that russ is saying is a .464 WP team over the season. I would be a lot more optimistic is the Brewers didn't have to surpass 2 teams to claim the division. It would be nice to 11 or 12 games before the All-Star break to at least boost the confidence of the team, but they still have 89 games left in the season to play .600 baseball. Even if we go .500 in the remaining games there is still a big chunk of season left to pull off a 2007 Rockies type of run.
  5. Did anyone else get a glimpse of Mark Attanasio getting enthusiastic on the Chone Figgins tag out at home? He was the first one out of his seat. Good stuff.
  6. I am watching this game in Missoula locally right now, but even when I lived in Billings the game was on "locally". It used to be Rockies territory about 4 years ago but then they changed it. EDIT: It's on channel (7)60 on Bresnan cable here.
  7. 3 hard hit balls against Bush to start off the game, but luckily they were all right at someone.
  8. I'll be at the game today and tomorrow. I'll be wearing my 'woahs solvved' shirt on at least one day. Look for me. http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/fdc35bbc9f77837e63dccade324a7edc81c30e9.pjpg
  9. Motorcycle cop. I didn't bother making excuses, because I didn't think he'd actually give me a ticket. It was a righthand turn and the road I was turning on to was completely clear of traffic.
  10. I had to pay an $81 ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign.
  11. Francisco Cordero replaces Derrick Turnbow pitchingFrank Catalanotto strikes out swinging Ian Kinsler grounds out, P to 1B Brad Wilkerson singles to LF (line drive) Wilkerson to 2B on defensive indifference Ramon Vazquez walks Gerald Laird singles to LF (line drive to LF-CF), Wilkerson scores, Vazquez to 3B Kenny Lofton singles to 1B (ground ball to 2B-1B), Vazquez scores, Laird to 2B Marlon Byrd singles to CF (ground ball thru SS-2B), Laird scores, Lofton to 2B Michael Young singles to RF (line drive), Lofton scores June 9, 2007 just a few other side notes if i remember correctly. it was a sheets shutout and cordero had 2 strikes on wilkenson and possibly a couple of other batters I was at that game. I've never been heckled so much for wearing a Brewers cap in my life.
  12. http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/team/_/stat/batting/split/77/league/nl/sort/OPS/order/true We lead the league in pitcher homeruns because of Gallardo. How great is that?
  13. Wow. I just realized that we are going to have to vote Corey Hart on to the All-Star team on the extra ballot again this year.
  14. I don't know for sure if Wolf went to the media, but I read about the Wolf/Lucroy problem in an article online. I didn't see the game so it could be that it was just describing the on field problems. On an unrelated note, Julio Franco was batting cleanup for us the last time we played the Rangers (edit: in Milwaukee) back in 1997. Yikes.
  15. Wolf complained to the media about Lucroy's game calling ability, of course it's hard to know the pitcher's game plan when you're brand new to the show. I'd like to see him get more starts.
  16. The throw beat him by a lot, but it looked like the tag was off the mark.
  17. I saw Chad Moeller hit a grand slam. I also saw Yount's 3,000th, but I'm betting a lot of people on here saw that.
  18. I own a car, but I almost always commute by bike when in town. I love my bike and love riding around town. I live in Montana and during my last 2 years of college I rode my bike to and from the university, 5 miles one way, almost every day including some brutal winters. It just feels good to be on a bike.
  19. "If Casey McGehee were made out of cheese, would you eat him?" CASEY!
