  1. According to baseball-reference..... runs/day games - 79/24 = 3.29 runs/game runs/night games - 289/53 = 5.45 runs/game
  2. 100 pitches is only significant because it's a nice round number, however remember that Gallardo is coming off a season in which he only pitched 24 innings. This year he's gone 100+ pitches in 13 of 15 starts so far. It might become an issue later in the season or it might not. In games like this I think you can leave Gallardo in, but Macha has also left Gallardo in with 100+ pitches and a 4 run lead.
  3. It might have been a double with an error, or a double with two errors, or an out.......
  4. Doesn't Miller Park remove fans who interfere with balls in play? I know other cities do this.
  5. I can't wait for the recap of this inning on SC tonight. I hope they play it to Benny Hill theme.
  6. Jason Kendall has the most career at bats versus Santana (23) and is OPSing .212 against him. It's going to be a tough game to win, so hopefully Burns can go 5-6 solid innings.
  7. Despite getting in a couple of jams, Looper was in control tonight and proved that its not only Gallardo that can go 6+.
  8. you would have been forced to watch a Gary Sheffield HR.
  9. How many points of BA/OBP has JJ increased today. Great game.
  10. How is that strange for the IGT? All wee need is 10 posts about Bill Hall, 5 about Hart's OBP and one about pinch hitting for Jason Kendall.
  11. McGehee can't double clutch on that throw if he wants the out.
  12. Wow. Back to back hits from Cat, Kendall and then Looper. That will produce a run or two.
  13. Rock after a foul into the dugout, "As long as it doesn't hit Gallardo."
  14. To bad Hardy isn't getting any help on the receiving end of those defensive gems. He's preventing runs left and right.
  15. I don't know what to believe anymore. I thought Jeff Goldblum was dead the other day. EDIT: I guess it's real according to his son's twitter. All these celebrities are dying too young. I think he just had a new TV series out too. RIP Billy.
  16. Just saw that. The Indians will also be getting a PTBNL in the deal. The Cardinals just got stronger.
  17. This part of your argument I agree with 100%. Whatever your political stance on the issue is, the fact of the matter is this drug test was failed by Jeffress even after he had already failed one. He is a guy with the possibility of making millions of dollars playing baseball. I gave up illicit substances to take a job that pays a fraction of what he stands to make, so I just can't understand how he can't give up a drug like cannabis with way more at stake. If you watch interviews with Jeffress, he seems like a bright kid. I would like to hear a statement from him on why he can't get his act together and what he's going to do about it. This is frustrating.
  18. Is it wrong that I don't care since it's not a PED?
  19. The only time I feel comfortable with Narveson is during Spring Training games.
  20. Scott Baker career splits: vs. RHB .262/.293/.441 vs. LHB .280/.328/.429
  21. I can't believe Blackburn is as good as his numbers say he is. He throws way to many hittable pitches. It feels like the Brewers should be up 5-3 right now.
