  1. Is this supposed to be in blue or does Rock really hate the most of the starting 9? It IS frustrating watching Gamel blow what should have been an easy play.
  2. That botched play from Gamel was no where near difficult. It basically bounced right to his glove. He didn't even need to move more than 2 steps.
  3. I agree. I have a good feeling about this game. If Looper can keep it to 3-4 runs within 6-7 innings I think the Brewers will be able to put up enough runs for him and the bullpen will be able to hold the lead. Go team go!
  4. Besides ethnic slurs, why are certain words offensive? How is the 's' word more offensive than 'feces' or the 'f' word worse than 'sexual intercourse' or 'fudge' or 'gee whiz'? They're just words right? What if we all just starting using these words as acceptable vocabulary? Wouldn't that render them useless as curse words?
  5. I finally know what it's like to do a spit take while reading a message board.
  6. I bought a bacon scented air freshener the other day. It's in my car.
  7. Why Bioware, why?? I need KOTOR 3.
  8. I would say that's pretty fair trade.
  9. Considering Yo's age, relative inexperience and long injury last year, shouldn't Macha limit his pitch count a little better? He's thrown 100+ pitches in 9 of his 11 starts so far this year. I worry.
  10. Who is the Young in your starting NL OF brewdude? Chris Young? He's not really on pace for an All-Star season right now.
  11. I really want to see Billy get out of this slump. That last strikeout was on a pitch right down the heart of the plate.
  12. Chipper signed an extension in the offseason that runs through 2012 for $42 million with an option for 2013. He wants to retire with the Braves and who wouldn't for that money.
  13. I wonder if this means the Brewers will face Tommy Hanson in the upcoming series?
  14. From Adam McCalvy's blog there are no plans to move Parra..... "With a pitcher, you can't just stop them and say, 'You're not pitching any more,' because then how to you get better? You can go to Triple-A; that's always an option." But not an option the Brewers are considering for Parra. "That's our job, to make sure he doesn't [lose confidence]," Melvin said. "If you send him to Triple-A now, you could totally lose him."
  15. It seemed to me like he does too, but he is 4th in GIDP on the team this year and was 4th last year. I suppose he comes to bat more with runners on base as well.
  16. Kendall definitely has a black eye. You can see it pretty well on the close ups. And it actually it looked like Hardy had a black eye on his right side too.
  17. It looked to me like Conan was nervous out there during the monologue. I know that Conan said he wasn't going to change anything about his show now that he is in the earlier time slot, but I couldn't help but feel that I wasn't his target audience anymore, like he was secretly trying to appeal more to the 'older' demographic who were used to Leno. The show was just missing some of the flow I'm used to, but I'll keep watching to see if I can warm up to it. A "Keep cool my babies" would be nice.
  18. http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/02e35b63974b86d36b0fc0db3f4fbd28fdf9ab7.pjpg
  19. This game is like that South Park episode where the boys are in little league and neither team wants to advance in the playoffs so both teams do their best to lose the game.
  20. It's not very often that you see a bat fly into the stands near the dugout and people have to come running in from nearby rows to grab it, as was the case with the Ramirez bat. It kind of makes me sad inside. Baserunning mistakes are the worst.
  21. I would give the edge to Cabrera/Reyes. Elvis Andrus is just being thrown in to fill in for SS and has limited upside IMO. Chipper has got to be pushing 40 and probably only has a max of 2 years left in him of .800+ OPS. I'm not sure who your other keeper would be along with Ryan Braun if this trade went down, but whoever it is their longterm value is going to be less than Cabrera/Reyes. Also with Reyes you are getting one of only 2-3 really quality SS in the game, so when next year rolls around you don't have to worry about overpaying at the SS position and you can concentrate on drafting more valuable players at other positions. So unless you're in a weird scoring format that doesn't include steals or does include excessive celebration after hitting HRs, I would go with Cabrera/Reyes for sure.
  22. So true. If you don't like Conan's masturbating bear you can tune into Letterman and watch "Will it float?". I'll be tuning in tonight, but I'm still upset that I now have to chose between my two favorites in Letterman and Conan.
  23. That's a bigger catch by Braun after Brandon Phillips homers in the next at bat.
