    Lara with three walks in his first three AB's of the game. What he's doing in AAA as a 21 year old is ridiculously impressive.

    I'm not trying to start a debate about whether Mark A is just hoarding money every year but are the owners of teams like the Brewers and Pirates essentially admitting they have a lot more money to spend but simply choose not to spend? I'm assuming all owners are in agreement of the $171.2 million floor? That's a good $50 million more than what the Brewers typically spend in a given year.

    Made must be banged up. Not in today’s lineup and wasn’t in last night’s lineup either.

    I believe Made now leads the Southern League in RBI’s or is at lest very close.

    This regime doesn't make "all in" moves. They just don't. The closest was Yelich and Cain but that was 8 years ago during the Stearns era. Perhaps if Doug Melvin was still running the team, we'd be having a different conversation but Arnold and company don't operate like that. It's not right or wrong. It just is what it is.

    Fischer has been on a homerun binge as of late and the strikeouts are coming down a bit.

    My gut is Williams. I just don't think they are ready to pull the plug on Ortiz quite yet. They'll DFA Rengifo to make room for Jett. The only way Lara gets called up is if there is a significant, long-term injury to one of the outfielders. Might be awhile for him.

    Not much offense tonight from the Rattlers but Fischer did walk three times which is really nice to see.

    Last I heard he is supposed to start a rehab assignment down in Arizona this week.

    Can they just stop messing with the baseballs? It drives me nuts. Just use the same ball across all levels (including MLB).

    Nashville just walked off Iowa in the 9th. Lara scored the winning run on a Leonard single.

    I think you could figure out enough AB's to justify a call-up for Lara. He's a switch hitter so you could start him against lefties over Sal or Mitchell. You could also DH those guys or Chourio a couple times a week. Plus, there's always just sitting someone to give them a day off. I think you could easily figure out a way to get Lara four or five starts per week.
