So the A’s owner is heading to Las Vegas next week to talk about where a possible stadium would be located. So I mean, if they are already discussing stadium plans, I’m guessing this is pretty much a done deal then? I knew there was talk of a possible relocation but had no idea they were this far along.
We are almost guaranteed to lose games in which guys like Lauer and Anderson start because our offense simply isn’t good enough on most nights to make up for all the runs those guys give up. We desperately need another impact bat and for guys to get healthy.
Serious question: Would you take this Pirates lineup over the Brewers? Their 1-5 is actually pretty good. Not sure why they’re almost last in runs scored.
The Pirates have become my least favorite team to play just because they flat out stink but always find a way to play us tough. Hopefully the offense can win one today.
We made De Jong look pretty good tonight and now we have to face the Pirates bullpen who is apparently one of the best in the NL. Don’t have a lot of confidence right now.
Has Alex Binelas' star faded that much where he isn't even in the top 63 picks anymore? I believe he was top 10 before the college season started and didn't have horrible numbers compared to his 2019 season. Batting average was about 30 points lower this year but everything else was pretty much in line and he actually had fewer PA this year. Wonder what's going on with his draft stock.
Not a fan of playing these pesky Pirates. It seems like they've given us fits lately. They've scored the second fewest runs in MLB but have some pretty good hitters at the top of their lineup in Frazier, Hayes, Reynolds and Moran.
I am fairly comfortable with Urias at 3B going forward so if I had to choose, I'd rather target a legit 1B in a trade. Go after Mancini, Aguilar, Carlos Santana, etc and I'd be happy.
I'd be a little nervous to see the prospects that would be going out for Mancini and Escobar, but man would that be a nice looking lineup. P.S. You'd think Stearns would be on the phones with these teams right now trying to swing a deal. I mean, what's the point in waiting until the deadline when you know you have major holes to fill at the corner infield spots. It's just a matter of getting these other GM's to pull the trigger early.
